“A truly memorable stay. Perfect!”

I had an idea that The Garden Room would be lovely, so when we reversed to the far end of the gravel drive, where the Garden Room is situated at the back of the owner's house, I was happy to see it lived up, externally, to the reviews. Beautiful and abundant flowers, shrubs and trees adorned the side and rear and the large garden of the property. Gill, the owner, met us as we exited the car, and gave us a warm welcome, and a guided tour of the one bedroom apartment. Very well appointed. Comfortable. Everything we needed. We had a closer look at the garden (see pictures) and it was stunning. Gill and her husband, who we met on the Saturday, have done a superb job.
We had the dog with us. No issues. In fact, Gill's husband offered to look after our mutt if we wished to pop out for a meal. We declined as our dog has a delicate constitution! But thanks!
The bed was very comfy. Bathroom modern and lot's of hot water through the shower. I say that, as the hot water took a while to come through the kitchen and bathroom taps. Gill had warned us. My only worry was wasting a lot of water as we had to run the hot taps for quite a while before hot water came through. Odd the shower was fine?
The TV and combined DVD player was good, and we watched Murray win the Wimbledon singles in comfort.
Gill had left lot's of local information pamphlets in the lounge and a collection of maps for local walks. We did one down to the Somersetshire Coal Canal and another around the town. Both very enjoyable.
We departed on the Monday morning having had a relaxing and pleasurable 3 night break. Thanks Gill and hubby.

Lovely accomodation.. Beds were very comfortable indeed, just wish it was a double instead of two singles.. Nothing bad to say about this place..very friendly host..Beautiful setting and lovely garden..wished we could have stayed longer. Only down side of the stay was the weather but it is November :-P and can't be helped. Would both recommend this to everyone.

The Garden Room is very aptly named. The gardens are beautiful and immaculate, as is the accommodation. The living area, bedroom and bathroom are excellently appointed, with all one could wish for. Gill has thought of everything, even a magnifying mirror in the bedroom for those of us who are optically challenged :-) After a day exploring Bath it was bliss to relax in the reclining chairs in the living area. The wi-fi was fast and reliable too. Timsbury is quite close to Bath, and we used the Park & Ride to avoid the hassle of parking in Bath. There is a Co-Op supermarket in walking distance, and only a little bit away are several pubs. All in all, would have loved to stay longer.
