The entrance of this hotel is a very small art gallery. The first impression was quite unusual, but after stepped into the hotel, there was nothing special. The reception counter was old and small. A small gift shop was next to the reception counter. There were sofas and chairs in the lobby for resting.
We had a room with private onsen and was located in a private corner of the hotel. A special key was needed before you can enter this private area. The rest area after the door was filled with drinks and fruits specially offer to the guests who stay in private onsen rooms.
Our room was spacious and clean but quite dated. The outdoor onsen bath tub was small and deep. The indoor bath tub look old. As a result we decided to use the public onsen instead. The public outdoor onsen was small and facing a garden. We felt relax after using it.
The pork and beef shabu shabu dinner was good but the dipping sauces (wasabi and sesame) given somehow were not matching. As a result of it, the taste of the food was affected. We suggested that they should improve their sauces to enhance the taste of the shabu shabu. We had the chance to meet the hotel owner. He is a very warm, polite and friendly person.
The sleeping quality was good. The breakfast on the next day was average only.More
