The best part about this hotel is its location and accessibility to public transportation. The train station is literally right accross the street. There are a number of small restuarants and cafes within walking distance. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Wifi is available downstairs in the lobby. And they have awesome shishedo toiletries.

To me the important points about this hotel is its location. It is easy to get too and from the airports, either Kansai or Itami. Also the train station near the hotel takes you straight to Kyoto and Osaka castle. There is a subway station nearbye which will take you any where else.I was there as a tourist and found it a good base, also staff spoke good english.I would use again.

This is a good business hotel if you are on a trip in the area. There is an elevated walkway to the train station accessed from the second floor. The train station is the Keihan Moriguchishi which gives good access to Osaka. The Moriguchi subway station is several blocks away. I stayed in a superior room for the first part of my stay. It was comfortable with a good bed. I had to extend my trip and I moved to a standard room. The beds in the standard room are rather hard and so are the pillows. The desk in the standard room only has one outlet which is inconvenient, but a trip to the nearby 100 yen store took care of that.

This was the former Royal Pines Moriguchi Japanese style business hotel for the past many years before it recently became the Agora. They were working on it when I was here in May 2012.

As I approached the hotel from the Keihan Moriguchi train station I can see the new signage on top of the hotel. The main front doors of the hotel were partially updated. The reception desk was moved from the right hand side to the center of the lobby. The restaurant behind the desk was completely redone. The marble floor tiles are still the original tiles. The lobby walls were mostly updated with new black fabrics. Check-in went smooth. The room keys were the same except a black leather band was attached. The lobby was the most impressive update.

The elevators, hallways, and rooms were partially updated, but, for the most part the original Royal Pines décor over powered the updates except for the lobby area where the redo was more prominent. The room furniture is mostly unchanged, including the small refrigerator, 26-inch LCD flat screen TV, and pants presser. The mirror in my room was the orginal and was a bit worn in some parts. New tempurpedic pillows were on the beds.

Panasonic is the major employer here in Moriguchi so expect to see many Panasonic employees staying here. It has now been newly updated so it is very clean. This is a small local hotel, but, is quite nice and very reasonably priced at around 8,000 yen or about $100 per night. I like this hotel because it is conveniently located across the street from the Keihan Railway’s Moriguchi express station. From there I can easily go to downtown Osaka for shopping or eating, Osaka castle or even Kyoto. Of course the Keihan department store is also located across the street. The Kansai airport bus is also across the
street. It seems almost everything is across the street.

This is more of a business hotel and less suited for tourists, since there are no tourist sites in the immediate area of the hotel.

The lobby restaurant offers a choice of either the Japanese or American breakfast buffets for 1450 yen or about $20.

Couple night stay at the Moriguchi Royal Pines hotel right in front of the Moriguchi Station of the KeiHan Rail line. It is a convenient location if you have business engagements around this area, esp. Panasonic which is headquartered very nearby. But as tourist I would stay somewhere else such as Umeda, Namba or Sinsaibashi central areas where lots of shopping, eating and fun places in Osaka.

As a buisness stay it is quite convenient to just take the KehHan Limousine bus from Kansai airport (KIX) to the Moriguchi train station, and not worry about train/subway connections esp. if you have some luggages to carry. There is a KeiHan deptartment store in front of the hotel for quick local shopping if you re short on time. The B1 floor as usual has enough goodies to eat and drink.

The room itself was decent and clean but it is a bit dated. And right now the hotel lobby ground floor is undergoing remodeling construction, so the temporary lobby is on a 5th floor room which is kind of weird. Also, right now there were no signs out front to indicate it is the hotel, so I noticed quite a few guests gettng off the bus wondering around trying to figure out how to get to the hotel entrance. Hopefully this is a short term thing but a bit annoying at this time. The lobby staff were pleasant enough in passable English. But there is a fluent Chinese speaking staff also, so I assume maybe many tour groups from China stays here also

The hotel still requires land Ethernet connection, and charges Y840 per 24h. I think they need to get wireless and make them free (or embed into the room charge).

Other minus is no fitness/gym room, nor any pools. We did try the 4th floor seafood restaurant and the dinner was pretty good tasting and value. Another tip: If you are buying the Limousine ticket back to KIX airport from the machine, then you need to go inside the tix office o get a hand written receipt, since the driver will take the ticket from you, and not giving it back.
The other thing I can recommend is if you have 1-2 hours free then walk toward the next station and you'll get to Panasonic HQ building, with a museum outlining the history of Panasonic, mostly about he founder Mastushita Konosuke's life, his achievement and his management philosohphy.

Overall, an average hotel stay but it's good location for conducting business in this area.

This is a good hotel for a business trip in Osaka. It has good links via the Airport Limousine bus service to Kansai International Airport and is on the Keihan line (Moriguchi Station) providing easy access to Osaka and Kyoto.
The rooms aren't the biggest in the world but they are a comfortable size, clean and with comfortable beds.
The staff are friendly and attentive and they provide a good service.
There are other hotels in Osaka but they are not such good value for money.

I was booked in this hotel by my business associate who have a decent corporate deal with the hotel going…. It is a typical Japanese style business hotel. which expects you to sleep, bathe and scoot ☺…. The good thing is that you step outside the hotel and there are plenty of options to eat and drink…. Rooms are small but functional and everything works well. I was traveling with a large suitcase so it was a little cramped…. The hotel does not carry adapters for non-Japanese type plugs so be prepared, if you need to buy one and if you feel like a late night snack, just step out of the hotel and head left and in the next building there is a large super market (sorry don’t know the name) which has some decent cold sandwiches and other nick knack’s and ofcourse you can buy the adapter too…..don’t forget to stock up on pocari sweat (sports drink) for hydration if you have had a Japanese style business dinner …… Kampai ☺
