This is certainly a tourist location don't get my wrong but if you only have a day or two here on Okinawa and want to see some of the cool things that the island has to offer with a great deal of history and some underground caves. There is also a great deal of shopping here too which includes products from all over Okinawa including packaged goods and even hand made foods and products.

If you have never thought of going to see caves, this place is nice, and it's a good way to get out of the sun.

We really enjoyed our afternoon at Okinawa World. It is divided into three parts: Habu Museum Park, Gyokusendo Caves, and Kingdom Village, and you can purchase admission to one or all of these attractions. Our daughter who has an aversion to snakes opted out of the Habu park which featured a Habu snake museum and show. We walked down underneath the park to see the Gyokusendo Caves which were filled with stalactites and went on for about a half mile. Okinawan houses were moved to the park to create the Kingdom Village where for an additional charge you can try your hand at traditional crafts like glass blowing, paper making, textile dying, weaving or pottery making. Other features of the park are a brewery where we sampled liquors and sake, and the Eisa show with traditional dancing and drumming. There is a large store with lots of free samples of food and drink, and there are two restaurants and a beer cafe on the property.

We (me and my wife) were stunned with dances and music. Shops are amazing, especially glass workshop was great, i am using my hand made cup. Only one problem, think it is not related with Okinawa World administration; we living in Japan more than 2 years know what is Japanese service and were unhappy with service of Doner Shop (Turkish Doner?) seller was quite rude and quality of food was really bad. It was not cooked well and portion of meat was smaller comparatively with other. (We later tasted another doner at Okinawa Outlet Center ~ Deali Doner?) which was much better, price was also more expensive, since everywhere in Japan doner is 500 Yen

You get to go to a snake exibit where we got to see many snakes, mainly the Habu which inhabit the island, and then a snake show where you get to see a sea snake race a mongoose, a Habu strike a baloon, a cobra demo and you can hold a large python. Then there is a big set of caves you can go through with a waterfall underneath and many water channels, with some marine life. Lastly you get to go through the gift areas, where you can sample some food as well and get to see where they are producing Habu snake venom sake, this is interesting the snakes are actually in the sake! A fun visit as long as the kids aren't afraid of snakes. Staff was very friendly as the people were all over the island.
