The front desk told us our rooms were non-smoking. But they smelled so badly with strong cigarette smell. The windows were completely sealed due to a construction outside. Since we couldn't even open windows in the rooms to get some air circulation, We requested to change to real non-smoking rooms. However, the hotel told us they were fully booked tonight. So they can only put an air purifier in our rooms. We were very upset. The hotel should have never put 9 of us, including a 1 and 10 months toddler in 4 smelly rooms without openable windows.
Besides, the shower room and the hot water bottle were the dirties ever, considering I have visited Japan more than 15 times. In our four rooms，the hot water bottles were all dirty and overused.
The dinner was not worth the money at all. This region is famous for rice. But the rice we tasted didn't have the surpurb quality like we had in other nearby hotels. It's more like Chinese rice. This was my first dinner in a hot spring hotel that didn't provide miso soup.
This is the worst accommodation experience in Japan for 9 of us.More
