I stay at the Kura for 4 weeks and had no problems at all. If I was staying out of town they would keep the same room and allow me to leave my bags. The Onsen is great, it has a hot sauna and the onsen temp is 37.8 (perfect) and is drawn from the aquafa. Also has a cold dip pool. The rooms are good with good beds and electronics. I feel safe in this building with Iwate the most active earthquakes area in Japan. I had two (M5 and M4) during my stay. I felt very safe with how the building performed. It has a first class restaurant and a breakfast buffet. Very close to Inchinoseke station and the Hotel has parking. 5 minutes from the interchange. The staff are great.

This hotel, not many blocks from the train station, served my needs as a base for exploring the Hiraizumi area. Staff were helpful, and my single room was spacious by business-hotel standards, with a desk and sofa (converted to a twin it would have been snug). But the room was a bit dated, and the mattress hard. The air conditioning in late October was heat-only with no temperature control, a problem after the room had baked in the sun all day. In many business hotels there's a step up to the bathroom but here the step was about 12 inches (30 cm), and the bottom of the tub was below the bottom of the floor, a problem for some with stiff knees.

A short walk away from the station, this hotel is basic, but nice enough. There's are his and hers onsens on the ground floor, internet in the rooms and a breakfast buffet if you're so inclined (didn't check it out so I can't say if it's any good - think it's a Japanese breakfast). There's no gym at the hotel, but there's one a few blocks away that takes walk-ins. A few bars and restaurants that are nearby, but close early so stock up on snacks from the nearby supermarket and Family Mart.
A very reasonably priced, well-located option for a quick trip.
