You can take the "cacilheiro" (ferry boat) to get there. The view of Lisbon that you can enjoy during the trip, is lovely.
Nice restaurant with a great view.Is better for lunch than dinner. Good atmosphere but, because of the food quality, is only an average restaurant.

Not open every day of the week and a bit of a challenge to get to, in the best sense, but really worth a try. If closed, there is another ok restaurant next door with the same views and reasonably good service called Atirate ao Rio. You need to go to to Cais do Sodré station and get the boat to Caçilhas. Once off the boat take a right and walk for some 20 minutes between the sea and some beautifully derelict buildings. You will know when you are there, and it´s a rather lovely and authentic walk, don´t give up. The views of Lisbon across the Tejo as the sun goes down are amazing, and the food really quite good, a bit lighter and more creative than your usual bacalhau. Quite a treat

We were recommended this restaurant by the B&B we stayed at - you have to go on the boat from Lisbon old city for 15 minutes across the estuary - and were unsure as we approached it along a run-down narrow quay. However when we turned the corner and saw the tables by the waters edge with an amazing view of Lisbon were very pleasantly surprised. When we tasted the food we were delighted! Beautifully fresh seafood, lovely flavours and great service. Well worth it for a different and authentic experience. Would recommend for lunch rather than dinner because of the walk along the narrow quay which could be tricky in the dark!
