After a 15-minute ferry ride from Lisbon to Cacilhas, we walked by accident into the bordering town of Almada and found one of the best restaurants of stay in the Lisbon area. We lunched on shrimp with curry and octopus rice (and a nice white wine). Both dishes were excellent and the waiter was friendly and efficient. He even went so far as to tell us that the dessert we pointed to in the refrigerated display was not made that day. We did not have any dessert, but the coffee/espresso was good.
Between the ferry ride with great views of Lisbon and the wonderful restaurant Fonte da Pipa, I highly recommend this excursion.
