Owner description: Located in the heart of the Fenland region of Cambridgeshire, the Skylark Giant Maize Maze and Funyard is a fantastic day out for you and the family this summer. With a huge corn maize full of twists and turns, and a wide range of activities in the funyard, you're sure of a full and fun packed day in the countryside. In the Funyard play area children can meet the farm animals, and go wild on the attractions including pedal-go karts, obstacle course, giant inflatable slides and more. The Happy Hands trail is a fun trail through the woods collecting coloured finger prints. Compare your coloured fingers to the chart at the end to see what the Happy Hands trail says about you. Prepare yourselves for 50 feet of zip-zooming fun, climb aboard the seat, jump off the platform and off you go on the Zooming Zip Wire! Did you know pigs like to race? Step up to the rails choose your favourite pig, place your bets and watch the piggies sprint round the course - lets see if you are a weaner. We look forward to welcoming you soon! There is a delightful cafe which has been recognised by the Guild of Food Writers as a "special place to stop for a super snack." Skylark also offers retail therapy on site with its large Garden Centre. Skylark Maize Maze and Funyard is open daily from Sat 18 July to 2nd September then weekends only until the end of September.

“Family fun”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

We visited Skylark whilst on holiday in Norfolk, and I would highly recommend it as being good fun and also good value for money. The highlights for my daughters (age 7) was the Pesky Pigeons tractor ride, which was basically a supersoaker water fight! They also really enjoyed the go-karts. My 2 year old niece loved the inflatable slide. The Maize Maze certainly provided a family challenge (and wore the kids out, as it's big!). As a parent, the highlight for me was the genuinely happy service provided by all the young staff. I was also impressed with the quality and portions of the food served at the cafe. I had thought we might spend 2-3 hours at Skylark, but we ended up happily staying from 11am-5pm: definitely a good, family day out.

“Wish I'd found it sooner”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

This place is absolutely brilliant. For a reasonable entrance fee the children have a marvellous opportunity to use their imagination, explore and play. The staff are lovely, hovering ready to help but leaving the children lots of freedom. I can't remember the last time I have been to such a clean play area. Every piece of litter was soon picked up ( by smiling staff) and the whole place had a fresh appearance despite being just a week before the end of their season. I took three children whose ages ranged from 5 to 12 and they all found something to grab their attention. Simple experiences like walking through a wood and sticking their fingers into a hole containing different coloured paints added to the fun.

“Brilliant!”

We live down the road and love it here. You can spend almost a whole day here if you stay for lunch and do the maize and activities. Fabulous day out, well worth the entry fee.

“Excellent, well worth the entrance fee”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

First time we visited here although we are quite local. Absolutely wonderful place, kids loved it. Lots to do, they loved the maze and had fun finding all the challenge points, used the map or we would of been in there ages, I think it was over an hour before we emerged. Tractor ride was good fun for the kids with the water pistols, shame some adults took a lot of the kiddies spaces, maybe one adult per family ? at one point it looked like there were more adults on the tractor than kids. But they did 3 rides so obviously not a problem. Lots to do very simple games that kids have forgotten or didn't know about. Staff all very friendly prices of food etc reasonable. you can also feed the animals, we sadly missed the piggy race. Would recommend Skylark and will be returning with more grand kids.

The only extra you paid for once inside was feed for the animals if you wished to feed them

“Great fun day out”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

We had a great day out here, with 4 children aged 7 -10. The children spent nearly 2 hours in the maze ( with Walkie talkies to make sure they were ok) and still had energy left for the bouncy slide! The pesky pigeon ride was a surprise success, with the water nerf guns the key to its appeal. When we arrived we weren't sure if they were too old for the attraction, but in the end they didn't want to leave.
