Have been to this restaurant half a dozen times. I always enjoy the food and the service is excellent.

We went to Wildwood as part of a group of 8 last Saturday evening.

The decor is nice and we felt that the tables were well spaced out. The staff were friendly and the service efficient.

It's a pretty typical Italian chain restaurant and the food was reasonable but arguably over-priced for the quality. The sea bass (£14.50) was ok, but the gratinated potatoes served with it weren't great. The ribs (£15.95) were really tender but according to the menu they were supposed to be "covered in barbecue sauce". They weren't and in fact were a little dry. Also, the ribs were served on a bland wooden board with a side plate of fries. There was no attempt at any garnish. We ordered some peas as a side, but they were only half cooked.

Starters and deserts were fine.

It's a cut above the average chain restaurant and we will return at some stage, but it's unlikely to become a regular haunt for us.

Had one of the worst dining experiences at Wildwood this weekend. After a long wait for food, our food was a disgrace. It was all cold, burnt and totally ineditable. The manager, give him his dues, did take all the food off the final bill. We were not the only unhappy customers that night, we heard several tables complaining. Then on talking to a friend of ours, I found that they ate at Wildwoods, the previous evening and was served a still frozen bowl of cooked mussels! Please avoid as this resturant could seriously damage your health!

Great looking restaurant inside. Love the high ceilings and spacious feel upstairs. First time Id tried baked camembert and would highly recommend. Good buzz about it
