“lovely day out”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

i visited barleylands for the first time with my 18 month old grandaughter last week and can honestly say i was pleasantly surprised. From the minute we entered and the young girl who explained all the birthday party packages to the feeding of the lambs and the young girl who told us all about the animals to the clean play barn and then to the lovely food and brilliant service in the cafe it was a really enjoyable visit, and my daughter was shocked that i couldnt find anything to moan about lol keep up the good work

“Fun on the farm”
Reviewed April 1, 2014 via mobile

Our children had a wonderful time on the farm. We spent many hours looking round, bouncing on the bouncy pillow, playing in the soft play barn and getting some spring time fresh air!
You could spend hours here, not just for the animals, but for the well equipped play areas. It's just a fantastic haven for little people.
The animals were lovely, especially the new additions! (Calves, goats, lambs and piglets!) it was so nice to see them all close up and be able to pet them.
The sun was out too, which helped as it's a nice relaxing setting and you can kick back whilst the children play.
I would definitely recommend this for families with young children, we will certainly be visiting again and may even purchase a season ticket.

“good day out with the kids,”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

as always we had a good day out here with my two young children, its lambing season atm and my daughter loved seeing and feeding the little lambs, as it was term time it was also quiet which meant we had the indoor play area almost to ourselves.

“Children will love!”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

Visited here over the farmers week (half term), felt it a little pricey, but guess I'd paid similar at other childrens days outs. Lovely indoor animals barn, which this time of year is needed! My daughter loved feeding the animals, spent quite a time in this barn. My daughters other best part was the huge pillow type attraction, she bounced on it for an hour and I still had to drag her away! We decorated biscuits, which was popular and she loved meeting the birds of prey. Within the price we did get a free train journey, which even my 8 month old enjoyed. all in all would recommend a visit, didn't get to the crafty shops, but would like to check them out next time.

Our grandchildren aged 4 and 6 ,had a wonderful day out.We booked our tickets online which was a saving.
There were a great many different activities so when it rained we visited the indoor ones, feeding sheep, ball park, slides, icing biscuits. Then when it was dry there were plenty of things to do outside, train ride, seeing owls and red squirrel, riding tractors, bouncing on giant pillow, etc
We would certainly go there again.
