We stayed from the 29/6 to 7/7/2014, the rooms were great, beer cold or as cold as poms do beer, the food excellent, the staff were lots of fun, efficient, friendly. It was an most enjoyable stay.
The beer garden that faces Brooklands Road what a great place to have a beer.

Stayed at the Belmore last Saturday, lovely hotel highly recommended. Reasonably priced with nice friendly staff.

We had a double room which was beautifully decorated, and looked exactly like the pics on the website. Breakfast was very nice and there was a decent menu to choose from.

The bar and outdoor area was really nice and sitting outside in the sun was a treat. Lots of outdoor space, plenty of parking spaces.

Only downside is the trek to the bedroom, no lifts! whilst I didn't mind this I didn't see any wheelchair access, so wouldn't have been an ideal venue for my mother had she travelled with us.

I came here to celebrate my birthday with my family who had come to visit. The Sunday lunch menu is of fabulous quality and extremely affordable. I would definitely recommend the roast which was delicious. The friendly staff provided excellent service, and had extensive knowledge of the cask ale and wines which pleased my father! We sat outside in the garden which had a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
I've since returned several times for food and drinks with friends. It's nice to find somewhere local that's worth going to! Would definitely recommend to others.

I stayed here last week for one niht on business - paid for by my employer. Room was nice enough - clean and tidy, bathroom good with a deep bath with shower over, bath filled up very quick.
Breakfast was OK but the service wasn't great. The girl serving was more interested in talking to her friends in the kitchen than actually serving you. When it arrived the cooked breakfast was good, I just felt as if I was a bit of a hindrance, in the way.

Lovely old building with lovely big room and en suite. Room looked like it had been recently refurbished and was very clean and comfortable. Only downside it was on third floor ad no lift but it is an old building. We ate in the bar at night and enjoyed the meal which was reasonably priced. Some of the chairs could do with being replaced as they were very low to eat comfortably.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: If stairs are a problem ask for a room on a lower floor

Ate here 12 months ago, and it was poor. Decided to try again, with a voucher for 25% off. Very glad that reduced the cost, as it certainly was not worth it. Arrived and shown to table. Bar was quite busy, and for some reason that was the signal for the bar staff to disappear for 15 minutes, leaving the waitress to run the bar. This meant it took nearly 15 minutes to get any kind of attention, and that was simply giving us menus and taking the drinks order. Some hope as the drinks were poured quite quickly, unfortunately they were left on the bar for a further 5 minutes before finally being delivered. More annoying was the small plague of small flies buzzing around. Ordered the scampi which at £12 looked expensive. After another 30 minute wait the food arrived. Very average, greatly over priced. Glad I did not order the "half portion" as the full portion only had 8 pieces of scampi. With a random slice of bread and butter on the side of the plate. The fact that the bread was stale and hard only made it worse. Gave up on the idea of a 2nd drink, and went to pay the bill. Took the chance to say "apologies for the dead flies on the voucher, but there are quite a few buzzing around" the reply of "oh don't worry about it, that is £22" was only to be expected really, and summed up the poor service level. Even with a voucher, will not be bothering again.

I have stayed in the Belmore quite a few times and always had a good experience. The rooms I have stayed in were all nicely decorated in a classic British style, also spacious and well maintained. The bathrooms were also up-to-scratch.

There is a pub/restaurant downstairs, with some really good selection of local ales, also good food. The staff is OK, the only thing I would see for improvement is that the reception is usually not manned and you may have to go and look for someone to help you with checking in or out.

Room Tip: room number '1' near the main stairway is quite noisy as people walk up/down the stairs. the...
