“Usual excellent Premier Inn quality”
Reviewed November 6, 2011

Welcome and reception - friendly and efficient. Rooms - plenty of space, clean, very comfortable bed with choice of pillows. Bathroom ok though the shower could be better and as it's over the bath, which is quite a high one, not so easy to get in and out!
Breakfast - again, usual Premier Inn good quality and excellent value. Cooked breakfast not served on a buffet but brought, freshly cooked. You can still have as much as you want and I'm sure can ask for more if you want. Quite a long wait which is unusual but they seemed a little short staffed and maybe not well organised - we had to wait for them to bring clean glasses and more orange juice and they had run out of the usual breakfast coffee mugs and had obviously 'borrowed' some cups from the bar. But this didn't spoil our enjoyment at all.
We had a meal in the pub - the Mersey Farm - in the evening and were very impressed with the quality of the food, the friendly and efficient service and as with the breakfast it was very good value.
We were there for one of our regular trips to football at Old Trafford and on checking in after the match noticed that they now do shuttle trips from there to the ground. We probably wouldn't use it but certainly a useful option for a lot people.

Room Tip: I suspect the rooms are all the same and no exciting views from anywhere.

We stayed overnight after a shopping trip in Manchester. The staff were very friendly and informative and the room was clean and had everything we required. The pub next door offered food at a reasonable price and the breakfast was good value for money, offering as much as you could eat. The waiting staff made you feel very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone

My husband and I were stopping overnight, as we were collecting our son from nearby Manchester airport early the following morning. We always choose Premier Inn for our short and long term stays and we were not disappointed. This particular hotel was again excellent value for money. The receptionist, Dave, was very welcoming and helpful. The room, as is the norm, was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We would certainly use this hotel again if we were in the area. The adjoining pub offered good, reasonably priced food and the staff were very helpful.

This hotel was excellent value for money. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful and the room spotless and well equipped. We would certainly return if we were that way again. The Mersey Farm pub next door offered decent food and the staff were very helpful.

The only drawback was that three of the 'specials' on the dinner menu were unavailable -even though we were eating in the early evening. This was disappointing as these options were more interesting than those on the standard menu. It seems odd to hand a 'specials' menu to a customer and then at the same time, to cross off (very apologetically) a substantal proportion of what's on offer!

Stayed whilst visiting family and watching City. Great staff, excellent breakfast in pub next door. Room clean and comfortable although a little hot and noisy. No Sky TV. No phone. No morning papers.
Will stay again when visting this part of manchester.

Well it's a Premier Inn so the decor, etc. is as you would expect. Parking is easy, but what set this one apart from others I've stayed at is the warmth of the welcome. The receptionist and night porter were really friendly and helpful, organising a taxi for us without us having to ask for it, she suggested based on the conversation we were having about how far away the location was for the event we were there for. Only slight downside is the patchy service in the restaurant for breakfast. Food quality good but some of the staff were miserable.

I used the Premier inn when going to watch Manchester United v Arsenal - Just far enough away to need a taxi but only £15 to the ground. Very clean and Tidy - nice pub next to hotel - Absolute bargain for £29 - definitley recommend
