The is a beautiful park, great place to take the children. Swings and slides and a smaller section for younger ones.

There is always someone about and you find most people will give you a pleasant hello as you walk past

On a downside summer evenings you tent to get a gathering of teens with the odd bottle of beer.

Lovely well kept neat and tidy park, good outdoor gym equipment and nice place for a run/walk. Lovely treetrunk sculptures.

The park is divided into areas. There are two big lawns separated by trees, an outdoor (free) gym, a good children's play area (my kids used to love it). There are mature trees, it's a lovely place to come and sit and read or just waste time.

Worthington Park has many nice attributes. There is a playground for the children, a skateboarding halfpipe, a fitness area, a large grassy area where people frequently can be seen picnicking, and playing various sports. There are some interesting wood sculptures, carved from old trees, and a statue of James Prescott Joule, for whom the unit of energy is named, and who lived in Sale.

This park has something for everyone. It has a small park for under 5's another park for children, a skating ramp, a ball playing area, an outdoor gym. Lovely formal gardens, walkways, grassy areas, band stand, and if you time if right on a hot day you might see the ice cream van. What is missing is toilets, however a wee in nature is part of growing up.
