AWESOME PLACE , fully recommended...
2 bedroom app. 2 baths plus living and kitchen area, CLEAN!!! NEAT !!!!!!

the only negative thing was that we were not able to use the Fireplace, since we had a 16 month old baby and they had no gates to cover the front of the fireplace.

We stay here every year when we go up to Blue Mountain and it's great! Especially great if you have a family as you get a full kitchen stocked with utensils, dinner ware, glass ware, pots and pans, etc. You don't really need the extras if you are just going for one night but we always stay here just because of the outdoor hot tubs and pool (stayed once at Georgian Lodge, accommodations were nice but the hot tubs were PACKED; was not nice and didn't bother with them). Mosaic only has one (not sure if they have added more as they are expanding) but it is not busy on weekdays.

Enjoy!

We stayed at the Mosaic resort at Blue Mountain in a September 2011 weekend. Our room came with all the amenities of a small apartment with modern furnishings. We loved how our fire place actually warms up the room, and the washroom looked modern and new. And the service at front desk was great! It's right by the restaurants so you'll get most out of the nightlife without walking too war. There's also free complimentary high speed internet - front desk provided us the code and you can connect as many devices as you want.

Our only problem was the temperature control - it had two buttons - a picture of a man inside the door and a empty door and it was in dial was in Fahrenheit. We couldn't really control it that well so it got pretty cold a night.
And I thought for this price, the hotel would include a continental breakfast but it doesn't. I guess that's the norm for resorts in the Blue Mountain area.

Room Tip: Be sure to bring swimsuit to take advantage of the Jacuzzi, pool and sauna!

The most comfortable hotel ever! This was like living at home. My family and extended family loved this place and we are definitely coming back next summer. W stayed at the Mosiac the last week of August and the kids had a blast. We had a two bedroom townhome with 2 1/2 bathrooms and a FULL kitchen with a patio and BBQ. It was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom were clean and the rooms were exceptional. There was not even that typical "hotel" smell to complain about. My kids 5 & 3 loved the pool (better than plunge), playing outside during the day and evening. My extended family also loved their room which was similar to mine and I know that this will be a summer destination tradition that we will continue every year. Although there were annoying bees in the area and everywhere you walked in Blue Mountain, it was a perfect summer getaway for the adults and kids.

Room Tip: Townhome 2 bedroom rental the best to rent for a family of 4-6. Very spacious and you can BBQ on th...

This was our third 'annual' trip to Blue Mountain, staying at Mosaic.

Each year we have had a 2 bedroom unit. The first year was a different configuration from 2010 and 2011.

We had the 2 bedroom loft. On the main floor was a kitchen/dining room/living room combination. Also a bedroom and full bathroom. The loft had a bedroom and full bathroom.

It was spotlessly clean, perfect amount of room for my husband, 2 sons and myself.

The beds were very comfortable and the unit was quiet. The staff is always very friendly.

We love staying right in the village, where we can park our car when we arrive and not move it until we leave. We enjoy wandering around, grabbing a coffee, trying the different restaurants and doing a bit of shopping.

We stayed over the Labour Day weekend and did find that there were a lot of families with younger children, which meant the pool was very busy. We didn't get to use it until the evening. We usually stay for a weekend after Labour Day and it seems that things are quieter then, so will probably do that again next year.

I stayed at the Mosaic hotel in August 2011 over a weekend and into the week. Upon arrival I was generally happy with the hotel-- the rooms were clean, bed was nice, and everything was generally modern. However, as the days went on I became more and more disappointed.

We stayed from Saturday until Tuesday, and as of Sunday night the hot water in out room did not work. We communicated this with the front desk staff many, many times and they said other people were experiencing the same problem, but this was never resolved before the end of the trip. We showered once at the spa we went to, but other than that were left to be dirty. No resolution, update, or other options were offered. (I thought they might allow us to shower in a room that had hot water, assuming any did, but no dice.)

In addition we came in at around 11 PM our last night in town and asked the girl at the front desk if we could have a late check out the next day and she said that essentially the people who work front desk at night aren't "real" front desk employees so she could not arrange that, so we should call back between 7-9 AM to arrange it. So we had to wake up early in order to sleep in....

Below I'll sum up some positives and negatives of the property even if you are thinking of going during the winter.

PRO:

-Clean room
-Modern rooms
-Free underground parking in the summer only
-located at the end of the village so few if any of the rooms actually look out onto the village streets themselves which makes it a quieter place to be. This was a pro this time of year, but might be a con in the winter since it is not hillside or ski in/ski out.

CON:

-Expensive
-No hot water on our trip and nothing done to resolve the problem.
-Had to call early in the morning to ask for a late check out.
-Front desk staff generally not helpful
-Had to pay $8.25 for 24 hours of internet service.
-Can not ask for a specific view or balcony. You may look at the mountain, you may look at a parking lot. You might have a balcony, you might have a window.
-Swimming pool was almost always packed with screaming kids. So if your window/balcony opens up onto this it's not very relaxing.

This year we took the kids on a northern adventure, decided to branch out from the Florida beach scene and escape the 120 degF heat index. We headed from our small midwest hometown to the Newport aquarium in northern Kentucky (near Cincy) and then to Niagara Falls, Ontario for a couple days and finally to the Mosaic at the Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario. We spent 3 nights there and we really had a blast! We rented a 2 bedroom loft and it was really a neat design with a full kitchen, dining, powder room and family room on the main level. It was very clean and we had no maintenance issues. Weather was exceptional with low humidity and mid 80's (funny how the locals complained of the heat though!)

It was a short walk to the large outdoor heated pool and the hot tub was spectacular (not the typical boring round or square tub). My wife thought the pool was a little too cool but she is used to Florida pools where the water is like a hot bath. The kids and I found it to be just right.

For fun outside the pool there were several options - a mountain coaster where the rider has a dedicated car and controls his own speed. Then there were kayaks and paddle boats on the resort lake, fishing for kids, shuffleboard, sand volleyball... all at a price of about $10 per 30 minutes. You can also mountain bike on the mountain with you and bike transported up by gondola. Or you can just ride the gondola up with family and take in the view (highly recommended).

Of course there is also a ton of shopping as this resort essentially houses an outdoor mall. For dining there are plenty of restaraunts and bars. We had lunch at Firehall Pizza and it was very good thin crust with lots of variety. We also had dinner at 3 Guys and a Stove and it was excellent - had the local Lake Huron catch.

Other facts: One night they offered a free outdoor movie in the main squre and the kids loved it. The resort is loaded with bike/running trails and a run along the Lake Huron is highly recommended.
