I haven't skied in Collingwood in 25 years...What a transformation!
One of the gems of the experience is the Westin Trillium. The staff is professional and friendly. Kudos to whoever established this level of service and to the great staff who carry it out day to day. I imagine it's not easy to keep this level of service up during the peak time we were there (during Winter Break December) but they managed to do it. Great outdoor hot tubs, pools and splash area for kids. Great view of hills. Pond wasn't frozen for skating, but would bring skates with me in future. Loved walking to village for dinners...
I wish the architects had planned a rooftop bar overlooking the hill. That would have been spectacular!

I don't have a bad thing to say about my experience at the Westin Trillium resort. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My village facing suite was amazing. We stayed for the weekend and loved every minute of it. The outdoor pool and outdoor hot tub were also a lot of fun. Highly recommend this resort!

Room Tip: Village facing rooms have an amazing view. Be sure to request it!

Spent Christmas 2012 at this location- first trip away at Christmas with my parents, my spouse and two adult children. The staff at this location went above their call of duty in my books. Being that it was Christmas I asked if there was any possible way to have a decorated tree ready as a surprise to the rest of my family- we rented a three bedroom suite which was very spacious for 6 adults. When we arrived on Christmas Eve- bell boy- valet parking crew and reception were all so friendly and cheery. When we got to our room- the room was clean ++, I had requested a flower arrangement for the dining table- it was so nice! And there in the corner was this beautiful tree with lights and beautiful ornaments on it... It made the suite and our Christmas so amazing! Considering all the staff were working to ensure all travellers were enjoying- and were giving up their holidays to take care of all- I think hands down- cheery- smiling- staff were all so helpful and willing to assist where needed. We will certainly be back- and to those that feel its a bit pricey- its well worth every penny in our books!

Room Tip: Great three bedroom suite overlooking the pond- huge balcony- you can see fireworks at night from th...

Super room. Spacious, clean, we'll stocked with all the amenities. Staff was attentive, friendly, efficient and went out of their way to be helpful. A perfect holiday. We did not take the opportunity to ski but the hotel is within yards of lifts and all the village fun and will be hitting the slopes next time.

Room Tip: A balcony overlooking the village is nice but not mandatory to enjoying your stay. The Bed and Break...

The staff at the Westin are excellent - from the valet, bell staff, checkin etc - all were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The hotel is not too far from Collingwood and I would suggest to stop off at one of the grocery stores to pick up snack items as there is a microwave and refridgerator in the room and the village food stores can be expensive.

Hotel is dog friendly so the hotel did have several dogs staying for the holidays with their owners. I never heard /saw them be a nuisance so I would not let this deter anyone from staying.

A great place, location and excellent service - would recommend the Westin if you are visiting Blue Mountain.

Room Tip: You have to walk further - but the rooms with a lower number (e.g. 413 vs 440) is closer to the slop...

Stayed here for a boys hockey tournament. I guess they thought that we would be loud and put us on the main floor near the lobby. Our boys (ages 11-12years) were in bed by 9:30 - 10pm because they had a very early game the next day. Unfortunately, we did not get any sleep the first night as we were woken by loud drunken young adults rooming the hall and hanging out in the lobby laughing and shouting until 3 am in the morning. You would think that the security in the lobby would have asked them to leave or at least quiet down. Then they went outside and continued parting next to our patio. I finally had enough and called front desk. They acted as if they didn't know this was happening. The second night it went on until just after 1:00am. I would suggest picking another hotel unless you enjoy watching a bunch of drunken 20 somethings behave obnoxiously. Also, the restaurant/bar in the lobby is open concept and when asked what time they close the bar they stated they would remain open as long as they had customers. Another tip: try to get a room facing the parking lot. They say that the pond view is an upgrade but you will be listening to the loud music coming from the DJs at the restaurants/bars across the pond until early morning.
Also, don't count on using the pullout as a bed or you will end up having terrible back pain the next day. The bed in the bedroom is pretty comfortable if you can sleep with loud noise.

Room Tip: Request that your room is NOT on the main floor and NOT facing the pond.

We would like to thank the staff and management of the Westin Trillium House for their OUTSTANDING service! We stayed at the Westin in October of 2012. While we were there enjoying the beautiful heated pool and hot tubs with our three boys, one of our boys needed to go to the hospital because of an autoimmune disorder he recently has had trouble with. He then had to be transferred to London by ambulance. The Westin went out of their way to help us. They drove my husband and two other small boys to the hospital to pick up our van, brought us a wheelchair and reimbursed us for our one night of stay. Thank you!! Their kindness and helpfulness was greatly appreciated during a very difficult time.
