My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend away to the Westin. We had a room facing the mountain with a gas fireplace, sitting area, double bed, and small kitchenette area. We went in mid-November, when the mountain was not even open yet for skiing, and the room was still $250 per night. The restaurant in the hotel, Oliver & Bonacini was relatively nice, but incredibly overpriced. The first morning (Saturday) we went down for breakfast and each ordered off the menu (basics like eggs, bacon, hasbrowns, toast, coffee)...total bill was $50. The next day, we went down for breakfast because they boasted a great buffet for $20 per person, but all that was in the buffet was eggs benedict, scrambled eggs (the ones that come in a bag), sausage, bacon, homefries, pastries, fruit, and toast. I would expect a much larger array of staple breakfast food, such as pancakes, omelette bar, etc. for that price. We had dinner at the CA Steakhouse in the village, which was amazing--best steak we've ever had, but again, quite privey. An 8 oz. steak was about $41, but it was worth the price, as I said--delicious!
All in all, it was a very relaxing weekend, BUT I think they should be giving some rate breaks if the mountain isn't even open for use yet.More
