The best thing this hotel has going for it is the location! It is right at the base of Blue Mountain and a very short walk to the pedestrian village at Blue, with great shops and restaurants! We ski at a private club but still enjoy the village shops after a day on the slopes.

We always book a one bedroom suite as we prefer the additional space this room provides as well as the better equipped kitchenette (which we use for breakfast). The rooms are somewhat updated with flat screen televisions, but the furniture (specifically the sofas, table and chairs) could stand to be replaced!

We really enjoyed the ice rink on the pond this year. It was amazing and right outside of the hotel! We also are fans of Oliver and Bonacini restaurant in the lobby (make reservations during ski season as it fills up very fast)! The Plunge water park adjoined to the hotel is great fun for the kids - they never want to leave!

Things to note: parking is an additional charge as is the internet.

We have been coming to this hotel for a few years - it is an excellent choice at Blue Mountain!

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view!

Blue Mountain is a 45m getaway for us. This was our first visit to the Westin Trillium House. We stayed for our anniversary weekend in May and found the accommodations up to Westin Standard. We arrived on Friday, and check-in was quick and friendly. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite which also had a kitchenette with hotplate, fridge, dishwasher, and ample dishes.

The room we were in was clean and in good shape, and the heavenly bed was up to its namesake. The hotel has a wonderful pool, and exercise area and is located adjacent to the Village at Blue with many shops and eateries.

There is a lot to do in the area which includes Wasaga Beach, Georgian Bay, Collingwood, Thornbury and of course Blue Mountain.

Parking is beneath the resort and costs $/night.

We'll be back...have to use up those free weekend nights!

Room Tip: Ask for the village side for a good view of the activities.

My wife and I were at the Westin on April 24 and 25 for a regional meeting. From the moment we checked in, which was quick, the staff went above with smiles, friendliness and extended service. The room was warm and cozy and clean. Every aspect of my stay was met with supreme satisfaction. All the meals, and I am very finiky, were great. From the front desk, valet service, Oscar's restaurant staff, housekeeping, maintenance employees, not once but every meeting was met with kindness. This hotel should be rated EXCELLENT, we travel alot, this has to be rated right at the top. Wonderful location also, right in the village. We hope to see you soon.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the village.

I stayed at the Westin Trillium from a Thursday to a Saturday in April for a girls weekend. We got a 2 bedroom suite and it cost just under $300/night, which isn't so bad when you are splitting it three ways. The suite had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 tv's and full kitchen. It also had a full dining table, a spacious living area and a fireplace. Honestly, it was no different than an apartment. The staff were friendly, and the village very pretty. For a weekend away I thought it was great to have the full kitchen which saves money on food. The beds were extremely comfortable, the room was clean and modern. Honestly, I haven't a bad thing to say about the hotel.

Special note: there is an Oliver & Bonacini in the hotel, or in the Village there was a pizza place (Firehouse pizza?) which offered gluten-free pizza.

Room Tip: Get the top floor of a room in the 'turret' and you will have cathedral ceilings in the living area.
