We enjoyed every single day of our stay in Westin. The hotel located in a very scenic part of blue mountains. We stayed in a room with patio overlooking the lake/georgian bay and it's gorgeous!
Room- very clean, quiet, bed so comfy and with hairdryer!! :-)
Food - we only ate breakfast, there are lots of restos around to choose.
Price- $$$
Overall, we loved this hotel and highly recommend!

What a terrific place!! Not only the hotel but the whole blue mountain experience. I felt like I was far from home and we were only 2 hours away. My family and I went on a hot week and you would think that the mosquitoes would be out but we did not even get 1 bite. My children LOVED the hotel, playground, pool, plunge.....everything!!! The Westin was everything I expected, definitely a 5 star hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony facing the pond and it was nice to relax and enjoy the stars and music in the village while my kids are asleep. The only thing was that the restaurants in the resort was very appetizing and delicious, but I found them a bit expensive.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a pool view and balcony. If you have small children that go to bed early you ca...

Just got back from wkend stay (July 15-17)...it started off iffy at check in as lady who started to check us in got caught up w/ a guest behind us that referred to her as "Jodie Foster" and eased his way to being serviced before us and she left me staring at a wall with 4 children eager to get their stay going. Not impressed by lack of professionalism "Jodie"! She literally giggled away w/ this man who flattered her. LUCKILY...everyone and every experience after that was wonderful. We were there as a huge group celebrating a reunion/ birthday and it was exceptional. Housekeeping was great. The room great. Our request for a room w/ a village view...PERFECT! Loved it! A short walk to village for activities, short drive to everything else you could possibly need. Metro open 24hrs...just in case.

We stayed here July 11/12. It was just as pretty as in the pictures. Other than some minor issues with housekkeping that were resolved after the fact by the manager in a very timely manner, it was a great stay. Rooms spacious, beds comfy.....nice big TV. Beautiful view, nice pool and hot tubs. It was nice to be able to walk over to the villiages just across the way.

I know they can't build 'em tall out here, so I know why the halls are SOOOO LONG, but if you plan to be in and out many times during your stay, you might consider asking for something closer to the elevator. By the time we left, we were joking about the walk to the room being the never ending hallway!

We defintely plan to come back during the winter - we aren't skiiers, but I think it would be beautiful to see!

Room Tip: Facing the villiages is very pretty.....and ask for a full balcony, some have only french doors.

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights in July and the hotel is just fantastic. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite and was more like an apartment than a hotel. We had a full kitchen with a breakfast bar, a dinning room, a living room with a fireplace, a balcony facing the mountain, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi). We were travelling with our 3 year old and the suite was perfect for him. Everything was very clean and pretty new. The beds were very comfortable and there was an assortment of very good pillows.

One of our A/C units did not work upon arrival, but they sent someone and had it fixed within an hour. The only complaints that we had was that the pool was waaay too full, but that was also as a result of the time we went. The other complaint was that we had to pay to park our car at the hotel.

The village is one of the main reasons for visiting here. It is like a little european cobblestone village full of shops and restaurants. Spitting image of Mont Tremblant (interwest of course). I highly recommend going down the Ridge Runner if you like roller coasters (it is not a roller coaster).

The Blue Mountain private beach is decent. It is pretty private (in a cove), and has a little cabana that you can get food and snacks at. They do run a shutle there if you wish. The water goes out very far at under the knees depth (very far). The down side here is that there is a section of water weeds that you need to walk through to get to the clear water. They do obviously cut these down as much as they can, so it is really not much of a bother, but don't expect Beach #1 at Wasaga.

In the end, we will deffinetly return as there is so much to do here and everything is very clean and high quality.

Room Tip: If you want peace, ask for a room facing the mountain, if you want entertainment, face the village.

Dear renfrey,

Thank you for taking the time to post such a detailed review of your summer visit to Blue Mountain and the Westin Trillium House. We are exceptionally pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that our maintenance team was able to efficiently attend to your concern. I would agree that the water depth at the Blue Mountain Beach is rather low (perfect for toddlers and young children) however the activities and services do make for quite a pleasant experience. I think you would agree that the beach makes for a much less crowded day in the sun when compared to one of the resort pools (yes ours is very busy on a sunny day). Unfortunately over the past two decades Georgian Bay & Lake Huron have been experiencing a steady decline in water levels (several feet). Whether this is caused by factors relating to changing weather patterns, the dredging of shipping channels or some other unforeseen circumstance it remains to be seen what is definitely causing the decline. It truly is an indicator of how human actions can possibly impact our natural enviroment! Our understanding is that there are agencies in both Canada & the United States that are studying the problem in an attempt to understand the issue and propose possible solutions.

Thank you once again for taking the time to post and we do look forward to your next visit.

I must say, the best experience i had every was being at this hotel. Everyone is very friendly and they take care of you really well. First time i went, i told them i never been to Blue Mountain (which was true) and they got me a room with a spectacular view of the mountains and village. Second time was for our anniversary and they had gifts for us in our room. Once again picked the best room in the hotel for us to stay in. The valet guys are amazing, very helpful gave great tips on what to see and when to see it. And when i came back, asked how was the trip. Finally someone who actually remembers you more than just a guest. Great family hotel room with stove top, kettle, and everything else you need in the kitchen. Small dining table was perfect for my baby during meal times. Will go back for the third time when i goto Blue Mountain!!
