Blue Mountain Village situated close to the shores of Georgian Bay just west of Collingwood, is a very charming village where one will be fascinated by the beautiful setting of the various establishments. There are a number of hotels, shops and restaurants all set in a eye-catching way. The hills in the backdrop and the ponds within the village gives the village a fantastic look. I with a friend stayed at the 'Seasons At Blue', a nice comfortable time-share hotel. A nice, very appropriate place to unwind or spend time on physical activities. The last few days of Oct is a period when there are few people as it is the transition time between the summer and winter activity phases.

it has been a few years since I was last here. It sure has changed alot. It seems there are 3 seasons in this resort area, summer, winter and fall. Fall is more for conferences.

The village stroll is short but nice selection of stores and resturants.

Looks like Interwest has put a ton of $$ into making this a destination area in the summer with lots to do.

The village is lovely and there is quite a bit to do. The people running the various attractions were well organized and they ran quite smoothly.

There are many restaurants but we generally found them overpriced for family meals 2 or 3 times a day. The hotel we stayed in had a kitchenette and we went out to buy food after the first meal. The few restaurants that were reasonable priced had long lines- although it was a holiday weekend.

Thank you for your review and we are thrilled you enjoyed your time in the Blue Mountain Village.

You offered a great tip for families to bring in food, or to visit the Market shop to stock up on the basics during your visit. The Market is located at the entrance to the Village just down from the entrance to the Grand Georgian.

One of the best parts of the Village is that all of the accommodations plus The Westin offer kitchenettes that allow families to do their cooking or to have food on hand for specific diets and allergies that are often tricky to follow when on holidays.

Best bet on a long weekend is to call ahead for dinner reservations.

Again thank you for your review and come back soon!

We visited Blue Mountains during the Thanksgiving weekend and it was packed with visitors. There were a lot of activities for families and all the restaurants were enjoying good business. You can take a hike up the mountain trail, go ziplining, rock climbing, biking up the mountain, and other activities during summer and fall.

If you stay in the resort hotel you will have a discount on all the rides and activities in the resort. A must visit place anytime of the year.
