Stayed here when our son was taking part in a soccer tournament locally with many other families from the team.
The room was clean and well laid out with a fire and a balcony that overlooked the slopes and the swimming pool area.
You have to accept that it can be a little noisy at night but that shouldn't deter you from staying here. Great village feel to the complex. It felt safe for the kids and there was plenty to occupy them whether it be a trip to buy a beavertail or racing down the hill on the Ridge Runner mountain rollercoaster.
Pool area was clean and safe and great for the kids to hang around. Reception staff very kindly gave us access to the facilities even after we'd checked-out. We were in no rush to leave. Will definitely visit again.

Dear Tullsmeister,

What a great reason to get away, we hope your son and his team had a good game and from the sound of it he thoroughly enjoyed the down time when not competing. The Village has evolved into a wonderful vacation destination and not all that far from many big city centers. We’re glad to know you will be returning and trust your comments will inspire others to take the plunge and visit Blue very soon.

I was in the area and knew I wanted to book five rooms for a four night stay in the coming weeks so I dropped in to the hotel and tried to book in person. To my shock, the gentleman at reception could not make the reservation for me and referred me to their website. I had to return home to Toronto in order to book rooms in a hotel I was just standing in! I was about to book over $4000.00 in rooms and could not do this in person.

I hope when I do book online, I am not disappointed or they will really get it.

Stayed there for 2 days in a one bedroom suite. The suite itself is great. Its got a full kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, cutlery, dishes even papertowel. There is nothing you need to bring aside food if you are planning a longer stay. Room has a living area with 2 couches tv and even a fire place. I had a balcony but am not sure if each suite comes with one. Bedroom is seperate with a very comfortable bed. Generally speaking i would almost say its a home away from home with nice decor. Only downside is the bathrooms are a little dates. Caulking needs to be redone and grout is dirty but nothing too bad. There is a outdoor pool and a tiny gym if you wanted to use one. Aside from that there is no freebies! Internet is 11 dollars a day, no free coffee or cookies in the lobby.Just mentioning this to the people who are planning a business stay. Great place for families, lots to do in the village, restaurants, bars and lots of events. But beware, like every other tourist attraction, the village is expensive. $28 dollars for 2 frozen yogurts...ouch! There is a starbucks right next door to the hotel and a general market store in case you forgot somthing. Hotel is about a 10 minute drive from the main strip in collingwood incase you want to eat outside the village. It was a great stay, very helpful staff!

Dear lluvztravelz,

Thanks for this very complete and detailed review of your recent visit to Blue Mountain Resorts. We are happy to hear you were pleasantly surprised with your lodging unit and the location in proximity to the Village. Yes, the town of Collingwood is not far at all and is chock full of retail and dining options. You are correct, not all units have balconies, there are a few Studio Suites that do not, and otherwise all other units have balconies. The Mosaic hotel offers coffee and cookies in the lobby daily as well as a year round swimming pool and hot tubs. Internet is available free of charge in common areas of the hotels but there is a fee in guest rooms. We offer what we call light internet free of charge in the common areas; guest rooms offer a premium quality and therefore levy a fee for this service.

Four girlfriends and I booked two rooms in the Grand Georgian this past Mother's Day weekend. The experience was almost flawless. The rooms were clean, well appointed and a great size. They had comfortable beds, full kitchen, fireplace and balcony - everything we needed and then some. Staff was all friendly and helpful. There seemed to be a big dance competition taking place that same weekend, despite the fact that the hotel was full of kids - our rooms were quiet and peaceful.

The location can not be beat. Gorgeous mountain views, access to the "Village" right outside the hotel door. There are so many great restaurants, shops and cafe's. No shortage of things to do! The underground parking lot was a bit confusing, but added to the adventure.

We prepared some meals in our room which was very convenient and the only challenge we faced was a sensitive smoke detector - oops! We would recommend bringing your own coffee - the hotel supplied coffee was weak.

Highlight of our trip was a day at the Scandinave Spa - more on that in another review!

We are already planning our next getaway at Blue Mountain.

Dear MHDailey,

We’re thrilled you had a memorable Mother’s Day weekend; our resort has a tendency for creating memories no matter what the occasion. The rooms are almost like home away from home, all the comfort and essentials necessary to allow the ultimate in flexibility. The Village offers so much variety, dining, retail and activities. Our location is abundant with scenic trails for hiking or biking, but if you just want to sit and take in the view, that’s another option, they are breathtaking all around.

It’s always nice to hear that you are in the planning stages to return, we look forward to having you back again soon.

Attending a dance competition at Blue Mountain and booked in here for 2 nights. Reasonable value and great room - One bedroom with kitchen and sofa bed - nice little balcony and gas fireplace. We ended up going home after one night because of noise. I want to stress that this was not the hotel's fault. They actually make you sign (twice!) about noise restrictions when you check in. It's obvious that the parents of the demon spawn midget hockey team that was staying at the same hotel didn't read before they signed. Nothing like having 10 year old boys running up and down the halls playing "nicki nicki nine doors" at 10:30 at night and then whole families yelling up and down the corridors at 9 in the morning. Short of having staff circulating the halls on a 24 hour basis - there's not much the hotel can do about an onslaught of unbelievably rude guests. It's really too bad - the location (right in the Village) is fantastic but not worth the lack of sleep. I'll be searching out a chalet next time.

Room Tip: If you have to stay here- get a room high up and facing the front of the hotel - it will minimize no...

Dear Cocobonk,

What a shame, thank you for this feedback and thank you for your perspective, one would expect parents to supervise children in such a setting and to demonstrate and teach them respect and decorum where other guests are concerned. We are sorry that this experience has slanted your choice of lodging locations, we do have many townhome style units located just across the road from the Village; this might offer a suitable alternative. This is not to say that we are host to groups of this nature all year round, this would likely be the play off season and when hockey groups travel most.

Thanks again for your comments and suggestions; we hope you will come back again outside of hockey season.

Best regards,

We stayed at the Grand Georgian during the May long weekend. It was our first time at the hotel and we were very impressed! The rooms were spacious and the service was top notch. All the other feedback (positive and negative) posted on the site is true. The negatives: A loud group next door played music till 4am, LOTS of kids running around, elevators are slow and parking was hard to find. With such a great location and big clean rooms, we would definitely be back!
