“Great value with some fun attractions”

Blue Mountain Ski Resort

Very good value resort with some fun activities for all ages. We enjoyed a full two days worth of activities, some of our highlights include:
-400M zip lines
-Tree-top obstacle courses to accommodate various skill levels
-Mountain roller coaster
-Many food choices (we ate at Tholos, a Greek/Mediterranean specialty restaurant and enjoyed a fine dinner and belly-dancing)
-Great location for Fall colours
-Easy driving distance from GTA
-We took advantage of the "Fall Adventure Package" which includes 8 tickets for the attractions which stretched our dollar even further
-Very attentive and cheerful staff
-Other attractions such as Segway Tours, hiking tours, available which we did not take advantage of.

Lowlights:
-"Cachet Crossing" units are dated, showing their age and in need of modernization
-Don't expect a wood-burning or gas fireplace in every unit (some still have electric!)

Thank tersmc

My cousin drove here for Christmas and this place was amazing. It was my first time snowboarding and I was frighten by the slopes when I first saw it. Even the bunny slope looked intense. It was a bit hard to find at first even with the sign because we were driving in circle most of the time. I stayed on the practice slope because I didn't have a personal trainer to teach me, but I made it out ok alone. It can be a bit dangerous because there are a lot of people. Be prepare to fall because that is part of the learning process. Staff there are friendly. The lines were long because we went on Christmas. There are also a lot of nice resorts here which makes it feel like a community on it's own. I highly recommend coming here because Canada is all about the slopes.

We live about 1.5-hour away from this place and come visit it regualrly, all year-round. On several occasions, we have stayed in a hotel inside the village. There is lots to do there. The mountain a variety of activities, while the village has restaurants, shopping, boating on a pond, free concerts/shows on the main square. In winter time, this is clearly the best destination for skiing in Ontario. The terrain is great and well-maintained, the vertical drop is only about 700ft, but is very versatile, suitable for all levels - the highest in Ont. Except for the North Base, the resort usually opens 9am-10pm. So, one can enjoy lots of skiing. Same area in summer time becomes a great place for mountain biking, or simply enjoying the area. In spring and fall, the place offers beautiful colours from lookout points.
This place is owned and operated by Intrawest, so the village itself resembles Mt Tremblant. On several occasions, we have stayed in one of the village hotels. Our stay experience is very good. Of course, like many similar places, this is not a main culinary destination. There are many restuarants , different categories. The restaurants are decent, but at time become crowded and noisy. They are also on an expensive side, which is not quite justifed.
Very close to the village, about 5 min drive on the south side, there is a site of Blue Mountain caves, very recommended.
To summarize - a great place to come, bring your wallet!

We drove 10 hours from New York to get here and we were delighted at what we found! This is an area that draws an international crowd. Lots of children and young adults are drawn to the diversity of activities available in the center of the Blue Mountain Village. Many of the events are free. The Village is surrounded by various time shares, hotels and various rentals all part of this planned development complex. Lots of cross country trails for walking or biking. Our time share unit met our expectations and we are pleased to use this as our base as we explore the area.

Less than two hours from home. Great skiing for the whole family. We always buy the double-down tickets in the fall and save on the lift tickets.
