The hotel was okay, the room had up-to-date ammenities, but the room was a little dirty there were chips under the couch. Would it hurt to move the couch to vacumn? Secondly the pull out had no sheets.
It is a little overpriced for what it is. I did find the hotel staff to be somewhat pretentious. They give enough forms that you wonder if you are signing for a mortgage.
We had a gorgeous view of the parking lot with caution tape, not a good way to impress first time visitors. Here is a tip, please if you are trying to get return customers, put them in a room that shows off the resort.
The kitchenette was nice to have, the cutlery is a little sparse.
All in all I would say this was an alright hotel, but I probably won't return nor recommend it to my friends.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not have a view of the parking lot.

We spent Easter weekend here and had an awesome experience!
Kayla at the front desk was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. A true professional.
Our two bedroom loft was clean and inviting, with vista's of Blue Mountain right outside our balconies.
The 'Village of BM' perhaps a two minute drive. Collingwood, a ten minute drive. Close.
The full kitchen had everything. It was up dated with granite counter tops too.
We had no problems preparing prime rib for our Easter Sunday celebration.

The electric fireplace in the living area wouldn't start. We called maintenance and within minutes, Antonio was at our door to remedy the problem. (Low batteries)
Mountain Springs has tennis courts, an outdoor pool and hot tub. They provide char-coal for the outdoor BBQ's and Continental breakfast on weekends.
There is also a restaurant on the premises that provides room service.

We recommend Mountain Springs and are definately coming back!

Room Tip: Ask Kayla. Let her know what your looking for.

Very clean, nice staff, close to the actual village of Blue Mountain, to the lake as well as to Wassaga Beach.
No great food options in the area, but with the provided fridge, one shouldn't have to worry about having to eat out.
Good a good nightly rate, thus if we can get it again, we would definitely return.

We stayed at this resort Feb. 21-23. Booking was very easy at this hotel and the live chat feature of their website was great.

The room we were told we would get (a renovated suite) was not what we got. To be honest we didn't make a big deal about this but I mention it for others who consider this important. Make sure this is on your confirmation from the hotel and then double-check with the front desk that they are giving you the room you are supposed to have.

The room we got was very dated. This hotel really needs to upgrade their beds and supply mattress pads. I did call down to the front desk and request a mattress pad but really feel that amttress pads are necessities. The bed was hard as a rock which might be good for some, but made it difficuly for us to get a good night's sleep.

The restaurant at this hotel was surprisingly good. Both my husband and I were impressed with the value we got. The staff was very attentive (we were the only patrons that evening given that it was a Sunday). They even turned on the Olympics in the attached small lounge for us so we could catch the Men's hockey game.

The continental breakfast was as expected with cereals, breads/muffins, hard boiled eggs, coffee/tea. Nice to have this included.

I would not likely recommend just because of the quality of the bed and the dinginess of the room.

First, let me say that I often read the reports on tripadvisor, and I always make fun of the people who incessantly complain about how horrible things are. I’m someone who likes to try to make the best out of things, even if the situation is not the best. I swore I would never be the one to leave a bad review of a place; but after attempting to stay at Blue Mountain Chalets, I was left with no choice. Here goes:

My husband and I had never been to Blue Mountain or tried snowshoeing, and were planning on having a nice relaxing 3 night stay after Christmas. We live in London, packed up our cooler and some groceries, a couple bottles of wine, and then drove about 3 hours to get up there. Besides relaxing and trying a new winter sport, we were excited as well because the Olympic Torch was going to be coming through town during our stay.

Upon arrival at 3pm, we checked into our studio "chalet" with a Jacuzzi tub (#607). Maybe our expectations were a little high, but here's what we found when we opened the door: we were first greeted by two rolls of toilet paper laying on the floor, surrounded by tiny little shreds of TP all around, with a trail leading to the bathroom. Next to that, billowing out of the closet, were our bed linens (the pillows and a mattress cover, which was half hanging off, were still on the bed). We proceeded to the "kitchen" (extremely small to say the least), and noticed the broom leaning up against the counter, below which we found a pile of dirt and bits of lettuce on the floor close by. Moving to the sink, we found dirty plates, glasses, and silverware, and the coffee maker was still warm with a little bit of coffee left over in the bottom. We dared go to the bathroom, and found a bunch of long brown hair in the "Jacuzzi" (which was a slightly oversized bathtub with jets), no towels and skid marks in the toilet. The glasses on the bathroom counter were also not clean.

In disbelief, my husband and I wondered if this was the standard of cleanliness they thought was acceptable for their guests - the 3 page lease agreement we signed said we did have to clean the room before we left – so we wondered; did they actually expect patrons to do an adequate job for the next inhabitants?

We left the room and proceeded to the front desk and there were literally about 20 people in line to check in and no end in sight – so we decided to go back to the room and call from there.

Upon returning to our room, we found a male and female there, oblivious to us, and scrambling like mad to clean up. The male, startled, did his best to tell us why they were there (“we got behind”) and the female turned to us and yelled (literally YELLED at us) “GET OUT OF HERE! CHECK IN IS NOT UNTIL 4:00 p.m.!” Shocked and bewildered I attempted to explain that we had already checked in, and that our lease agreement said 3:00 p.m. She basically called me a liar, and yelled at us to get out again. We left the room, feeling threatened by this hostile woman, and then went back to use the telephone to call the front desk instead of waiting in line to speak to the manager. The cleaner became immediately aggressive and started yelling “GET OUT, GET OUT” and I indicated that I was going to use the phone to call her manager, and she continued to yell (but wouldn’t look at me) as I made my call.

We went to the desk and spoke with Heather LeQuyere (General Manager), who was very apologetic. She was confused that we had been allowed to check in if the room was not properly cleaned, and noted that the room had been ‘signed off’ as being completed. We indicated that we wanted a refund on our room, and she stated “you will never find other accommodations at this time” – however we didn’t care. We were far from relaxed, and did not want to stay in a place where it appeared to be acceptable to treat your guests with complete disrespect.

We contacted Heather about a week later, and she informed us that the staff had been disciplined and that further training regarding “customer service and stress management” would now be mandatory for all staff.

This review is about one Mistake. The guest was allowed to enter the room prior to it being cleaned. No more no less. We are terribly sorry for this. We tried to apolgize and make up for it. The Guest had no interest in what our staff tried to do or say. They refused to stay and we refunded their money and they left. We gladly would have discounted their stay, gave them free meals, or otherwise tried to mitigate their inconvinience for our mistake. We are very sorry about this but feel in every organization mistakes sometimes happen. We believe we deserved a chance to mitigate this unfortunate incident not to be publically flawed for one unfortuanate staff members error. No one is perfect no matter how hard we try!

We are very fortunate to be staying at the Mountain Springs Resort. For the past two years we had been staying at the ' VILLAGE' and enjoyed it very much but price increases made it unaffordable. We had given up finding accommodation at a reasonable rate anywhere near the mountain,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and then we discovered MOUNTAIN SPRINGS RESORT. When the manager learned that we were booking for 2 days per week, for several weeks in rhe season, she offered us a price that was below that of motels 10 KM away in the Town of Collingwood.
