"Twist" puts alot of effort into their look - gorgeous waitresses and female bartenders and pretty decor. But get past it and what a let-down!! We tried a total of 5 different cocktails (and I do call them cocktails, not martinits - just because you put alcohol and mix into a martini glass doesn't make it a "martini". I think it just gives you a pretty glass into which you can put in less product). All of that would not have mattered to me had the drinks sparkled as well. Unfortunately, I felt very ripped off for two major reasons. All of our drinks tasted watered-down (it's not hard to taste tequila if you get it right!) and secondly, the mixes they used were HORRIBLE. The tonic for my gin-based "martini" was flat and the pink juice used as excuse for the cosmo "martini" tasted so much like aspartame, it was undrinkable. (On the plus side, our waitress was very amenable to exchanging the aforementioned pink drink for another watered down drink and she was also very hospitable in making suggestions to suit my tastes). But at $9+ per cocktail, this place is ripping customers off (oh, and you have to pay more for a "premium" brand i.e. Bombay or Tanqueray's. Anyone charging that much already, should only be using those brands!!) .. Never going there again. I suppose if they're trying to attract the youngest, prettiest group of people possible, "Twist" is doing all it can in pushing style over substance: lots of dyed blond hair, short skirts and club music. Who's going to notice a crappy drink, right?
