Hotel is located on the promenade 5 mins from the ferry terminal. We had a sea view third floor room. Nice little area just inside the bedroom to store clothes and take off shoes before going in to the matted bed area which consisted of two futon beds and small table and chairs. Robes and tea ceremony waistcoats are provided. A small balcony to sit on also was a great place to see the best sunset. Simply wonderful.

This budget hotel was a real bargain. Close to all of he miyajima action but quiet at night. It was well priced and clean. Simple breakfast available & public bath. The room were light & I even had a water outlook. For the price, I has much lower expectations

We enjoyed our stay at Sakuraya. It is perfectly located midway between the ferry port and the torii / mount misen. The futon beds were extremely comfortable, and the view was perfect - it was magical to wake up to a view of the deer walking by and the sunshine on the water. The staff were very helpful, assisting us with making a dinner reservation and providing recommendations for breakfast options.

The room itself is very simple, and the bathroom is in need of an upgrade. However overall, we had an excellent experience!

Room tip: Request a room on the higher floors for a great view!

Great staff at this hotel, we were really well looked after, the room was excellent, very comfortable with a sea view, it's a nice area to stroll around in the evening, much quieter after the day visitors have gone and of course the Torii looks amazing when lit at night.

We stayed at the 5th floor mountain view ensuite room and got a nice surprise. The room has a direct view of the Tori Gate!!! The ensuite bathroom is a squeeze and very tired. However, if you prefer a spacious monsoon shower in a modern fresh bathroom, just use one of the shared showers. Yukatas are provided, and there is a pay as you use washer and dryer. Helpful staff with good English. The inn runs a tiny grilled oyster stand outside. It’s OK for what you pay for, excellent if you score a view but nothing to rave about. Would I stay here again? For the price, absolutely.
