The hotel is in a quiet area. The shuttle picked up from the local station. The check in service and staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Our room/suite was large - with one room Japanese style bedding and one with western style beds. Very clean. Had a balcony with ocean views.
The onsen was undergoing repairs but we got tickets to use the neighbouring onsen. The hotel is popular among the locals and pretty much all were Japanese guests with families. The staff are almost all Japanese-only speaking except for the front desk Hitani who was exceptional in service. He accommodated us with a last minute breakfast request ( a rare feat given all meals are pre-planned in such places ) and even dropped us to the ferry station for miyajima given our large group with a senior citizen in our party and luggage. The staff in the kitchen were so hospitable that we felt obliged to give a small token gift to the elderly lady who served us .
Overall. Dated but clean hotel. No stores or restaurants nearby- so make sure you book meals ahead. Great service.More
