Great location (a few minutes from the station by foot) and service is as you'd expect for a Japanese business hotel. Free breakfast is always a plus. Remember to get a non-smoking room if you don't smoke, as the smell can be a little overwhelming.

My colleague had accidentally booked this hotel - thinking it's the one within Tenjin station ... to our surprise when we arrived in Tenjin station - this hotel is still about 45 mins drive. That's when we realized it was in Kurume! We would have taken the bus from the airport and it will only be about 40 mins ride.

Anyway, it was a good discovery as well. The hotel is just a stone throw away from Kurume station and the bus terminal. There are shopping malls around the area and a good ramen restaurant too.

The room is tiny as what you expect in Japan but definitely clean! it's very comfy and cozy for 1 person. They do provide Japanese breakfast too.

come for business trip
book the hotel for 2weeks
but a bit weird that we need to move out of the room and check in another room after 7 days stay....
the location is very good, just nearby the train & bus station with few shopping mall nearby...
but the room is small, as per the japan standard, so just accept this...
breakfast so-so, no much varieties, eat whatever they provide...
WIFI service is available, but connection from floor to floor is different...
i first stay in 9th floor, very good connection, once shifted to 12th floor, everything gone... totally no connection in some days... really need to check this out...
the staffs are very friendly, but drawback is that, they cant really speak english...

The room is tiny but clean. The breakfast is adequate, fortunately there is a coffee machine that grinds the beans for each cup. The staff is friendly. There is a supermarket within walking distance that is open until 10 pm. Fine for one night.

I'm a big fan of the Toyoko Inn hotels. I always know what to expect and am never disappointed.
I highly recommend getting their member card because you can stay for free after 10 stays and you get discounts, can book online 6 months in advance, early check-in etc.

After the tax change a one-way ticket did cost 170 yen.

If you plan a lot of trips going from JR Kurume Station and you have to leave early in the morning, the location of the hotel might be a disadvantage.

Other than that, it was a great experience as always.

I just wish they were better prepared during breakfast hours for the crowds that lined up as it was Golden Week.
