“Mixed feelings.”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

Just returned from a two week stay at Pachacaid with Keycamp. We have never used Keycamp before as found the couriers friendly but not overly helpful. Not a big deal though as we tend to do our own thing and not get very involved in on site events. The site is set in beautiful surroundings and the beaches closest to camp are just gorgeous. The biggest problem with this camp is the noise and the level of cleanliness. We were woken every night by revving motor scooters and teenagers making their way home from the disco. We were woken again most mornings by large bin lorries and other noisy vehicles. This was due to our mobile being directly next to the road.. which is what you get if you book through keycamp and eurocamp. So beware! My biggest issue with the campsite was around cleanliness. I don't think they have ever cleaned the pool area. Sure, they make you walk through disgusting dirty water to 'clean' your feet. Most of the time I attempted to jump across it! Plasters around the pool and in the foot cleaning water really turned my stomach. I read so many great reviews on this site prior to booking and although we enjoyed our holiday I don't think I would return.

Just returned from a Eurocamp holiday at this site with our kids aged 4 and 7. We really liked it - it has a very chilled out friendly feeling about it. Pool area was nice - there is a small charge for sunbeds but there are enough to go round. The shop is ok but it does close between 2 and 4 most days.

We really enjoyed to entertainment at night - they had live music some nights. My kids loved to cabaret show the entertainment team did. The kids club was great - it was on every day except Tuesday.

The site is on a steep hill so be aware you could have a caravan in the 800 row which means you have quite a climb to get to and from the pool, shop, bar etc. Our caravan was in this row but it was lovely and you do get a very nice view!

Overall we really enjoyed our time at this site and would definitely go back!

On arrival all was well ...staff were good very helpful ...got to meet our Canvas reps paid 20 euro for a card to open close barrier we will get it back...... Mobile not bad we thought ..... Then to find its beside the shower block and work store so ....staff comming and going every 5 or 10 mins ... Great petrol fumes.. Night life started around 9 first night and closed off around 11 ... Open air disco noise was bad... Second night it was a band ...they were good but did not end till 12 too loud for me at that time of night ... Then the cars OMG think it was the staff leaving but the cars were all parked beside our mobile so it was after 1 before we could get sleep now the worst thing was we were still wakened at 6.30 ... Have emailed canvas and will be seeing our reps to day about getting moved off this site not what we were looking for ...they should be looking at the rules of the site..No driving between midnight and 6 am silence on site between midnight and 6am entertainment high season every night but this is low season and the disco is MENT to be in a sound proof disco need better sound proofing.

We are a group of 4 female friends that annually holiday together on a budget.
We have just come back from a lovely 5 day break at this campsite.
Its away enough from the "crowds" to feel you have escaped it but in reality only a short drive to find it all again.
The site on our visit was lovely & quiet. Its terraced into a fairly steep hillside which is littered with beautiful trees for shade and privacy.
We were in the 600's which was far enough away from the noise of entertainment but close enough to walk to without much effort.
It would be a difficult site for people with walking disablilities due to the hillside but apart from that its lovely if not a bit remote without your own transport.
The pool was clean and on our visit the sunbeds were free. The area around the pool closes at 6.45pm which was a shame as we were still enjoying the sun, but hey ho.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, there is always someone around that speaks English to a very high standard. The Caravan reps (Kel Air in our case) were lovely, and knowledgable about the surrounding area - always worth a chat with them.
The restaurant we thought was expensive for what they provided but with your remotness to nearby choices they had the market.
Needless to say we only bought a take away pizza which was at best "OK" for the money. Better off to nip into the nearby town of Cogolin with its large supermarket and DIY your dinner. The site provided electric bbq ( a first for us) that were v easy to use and we ate on our decking each night and loved it.
The one thing i particuarly like about this site is the setting and the layout of the caravans. Because its terraced, you only really get to see the level below and above you, you dont feel majorly over looked and its sympathetically sheltered.
The site shop provides baguettes and croissants each morning as well as a well stocked small supermarket (expect to pay the higher rates) but its ideal for a stroll down to for your morning bread with a big shop in Cogolin.
I would definetly return to this site, im not sure how busy it gets in the height of the season but when we visited there were a lot of empty caravans and PLENTY of space around the pool. The water slides had just opened but not all were working and they wanted to charge E3 to use them ! We only saw 2 youngsters on them the whole time we were there. The pool was free with your wrist band.

Room Tip: Buy your food at the nearby supermarket at Cogolin, its just off the main road. The restaurant we t...

We went to this campsite with 2 children. Alle caravans are placed in line on terraces. The personnel was very friendly. The kids can play on the roads between the caravans and there's only a playground close to the swimming pool. The swimming pool is large and clean. We did have to pay for the sunbeds. Our kids went to the animation hours in the afternoon and had a great time.
Our neighbours were very noisy, at day- and nightime.
Overall we can say that, even in high season and busy periods, the camping can manage all the travellers and gives a nice experience to everyone's vacation.

We have been going since 1993 to Pacha and have always had a good holiday there.
The campsite is on the side of a hill with the caravans on terraces all the way up which does limit the amount of space children have to play to the roads outside caravans but the traffic is always slow. Be warned that the site is geographically reasonably close to the sea but the shortest route is a twisty narrow mountain road.

The swimming pool is quite large and has a lot of fairly fast flumes!

The site is set in a lovely valley which is very peaceful. The villages of La Mole, Grimaud and Cogolin are all near and have food shops and supermarkets.

If you have children they will love the funfair at La Foux (you cant miss it if you are travelling into St Tropez).

St Tropez is nearby and is a must see especially in the evening, beautiful and a lovely place to eat out.

As a family we spent many years travelling in France and this site, with the lovely situation between three peaks is wonderful. The whole site is such a friendly place to be. The back road across the mountain is great to drive and cuts out so much traffic if your off to the beach.
Our favourite village is 'La Croix Valmer', the market is great & we always stop for coffee & croissants on the way to either of the following two beaches;
1) Debarquemont - 2) Gigaro
What is also fantastic is St Tropez, sipping a beer at the harbourside seeing how the other half live, people watching basically and is superb to see.
I know the area around the site very well so if you have any questions please ask as I would be very happy to help.

Room Tip: Tents or Mobile homes I'm afraid
