The restaurant is seemingly stuck to the edge of the cliff high over the River Cerca, to the south of Armoreira beach. The view is just fab!
Today lunch was taken watching 3 metre waves inexorably roll towards land, gracefully poise as their furious energy struggled to erupt, then break in thund'r'us turmoil, boiling and threatening their way up the beach. Starting in sunshine, rapidly altering to grey as a squall excited matters more, then reverting to bright azure skies.
Lunch was good, just our party of 3 and a French couple enjoyed the restaurant. Two monkfish and one squid kebab, freshly cooked, generously portioned. Bread, probably from yesterday, house white, light fresh, and supplied by a 'house' I recognize that supplies many house wines in this area, nothing wrong with that. No one can really do chips here, should've had roasted new pots. Simple salad eaten as starter.
No pud, this time of year in most places it tends to be chocolate cake, almond tart, cos that lasts longer in the chiller.
Remember, you are here for communion with the sea and the ozone, communion with the stomach is welcome, but secondary.
On a previous visit have had meat, best to stick with the fish I feel.
