Ryokusui Tei Keisui was our one-night splurge on our trip to Japan. It was a convenient place to stay before we went on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. (The bus stop to start the Alpine Route is a little more than a 5 minute walk from the hotel.) We opted for the room with the private cyprus bath. The room itself was large, lovely, and spotlessly clean. The bath was located in a sun-room on the balcony with cyprus wood floors and windows that opened. The bath was lovely, and it was so nice to have it in the room! Dinner and breakfast were served in private rooms on the 2nd floor. The meals were large and delicious. We found it very nice that the kitchen staff put notes in front of the food telling us what each item was in English. The service in the restaurant was great. The hotel is also one of the area hotels that arranges for baggge transfer along the Alpine Route. That service was very convenient and helpful for us as we had two small roller bags that we didn't want to carry throughout the Route. Overall, the room with private onsen and delicious meals made this splurge both worth it and memorable!
