My wife and I and another couple had the privilege of staying at this fine B&B for a night in May, 2008. The home is located across the road from a huge loch, and just a little ways from Kyle of Lochalsh in one direction, and the most photographed castle in Scotland, Eilean Donan just down the road in the other direction.
The hosts, Ross and Jayne Calderwood are super nice folks, very hospitable. Ross is a first-class piper, and he sure can play the pipes. What an inspiring sound. He also makes bagpipes and maybe will show you the results of his talents if you ask. Their son also plays music, and we heard his talents as we arrived. Just a super-nice Scottish family. Only 2 rooms available as I remember, but both were ensuite and perfect, with beautiful views. The larger one has a huge clawfoot tub. Parking is across the street in a parking lot off the roadway. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
If you stay here, be sure to eat the evening meal in the seaside town of Plockton. Grumpy's takeout is great-tasting and reasonable, or there are two nice restaurants.
