We stayed at Ceol Na Mara late last year. Everything was spot on. The rooms were massive, incredibly clean, and the breakfast was tremendous. Both Ross and Jayne were very helpful and tentative.
The location was great and we were blessed with the weather for our long weekend. The views from the bedroom were also an amazing place to watch the sun set.

A wonderful few days spent in good company, starting the day with a well cooked breakfast with beautiful home made bread. After eating this I didn't need anything else till the evening! The view over the loch towards the mountains as you eat your breakfast is what dreams are made of!

We stayed for one night and wished that we had known to stay here and in the area for longer. Ross and Jayne were fabulous...very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, comfortable, very clean. Bathroom (King suite) was fantastic - spacious, great shower as well as beautiful claw foot bathtub. Our room overlooked the waterfront, where we were able to see the tide come in. Decor throughout the gust area filled with lovley antiquities. Parking across the road...and free. 5 minute drive to Kyle of Lochloch...and immediate access from there to cross the bridge to Isle of Skye. Definitley recommend this property and would love to go back ourselves

Me and my partner (Leanne) recently married at Eileen Donan castle and we decided to spend a week in the area before hand so we could get to know the place and relax.

3 of those nights were spent at Ceol Na Mara and boy did Ross and Jayne do their part in making our time as their guests as special as possible.

When we arrived we were given a tour of the house by Jayne (Ross kindly offer to carry our bags in). The bedroom was perfect. Amazing view over the loch, full of traditional Scottish design pieces and a large comfy bed. The bathroom was something you'd find in a 5* hotel. A huge walk in double shower, free standing bath and enough room to swing a wild haggis (also beautiful tiling).

Upon passing comment we were hungry Jayne gave us a run down on the hot spots to eat in the area, booked a reservation for the restaurant we chose (The Plockon Inn, get the seafood platter!) and gave us directions on how to get to there.

After a great night sleep, we wondered downstairs for breakfast. Traditional music from the Isle of Skye played in the background whilst Ross served up a delicious feed (full Scottish for me and kippers for the Wife). Ross's passion for the area is infectious. As we ate he happily chatted to us about Skye and the Highlands and gave us recommendations of things to see and do during the day.

On our last night at Ceol Na Mara, Leanne was due to stay in a posh hotel up the road whilst I stayed with Ross and Jayne (as we were getting married the next day and couldn't spend the night together). Leanne didn't give a monkeys about the posh hotel as she loved it so much at Ceol Na Mara and it was me who unwillingly moved to the more expensive (but far inferior) hotel that night.

This worked out for the best as Leanne had a panic attack in the morning (I've been assured all women do the morning of their wedding!) and it was Ross's words of comfort and reassurance that calmed her down and put her at ease (thanks Ross, I owe you one).

2 days after the wedding we popped back to see Ross and Jayne for a cuppa (as we said we would) and let them know how the wedding went. When we got there Ross presented us with a wooden vase he'd made for us. It was made from a tree that was felled next to Eileen Donan castle and he'd designed it to hold a single Scottish thistle. You can't really ask for any better than that and it was an extremely touching gesture that will always stay with us. To top it off he played a number of traditional songs on 3 different sets of bag pipes he'd personally made . We then chilled together and listened to David Bowie on his new vinyl player (cool as)!

As we waved our goodbyes, me and the (new) wife were beaming ear to ear. We'd had the pleasure of staying in their beautiful house and eating their fantastic breakfasts, had just been given a present we'd treasure forever, and had a personal bagpipe concert whilst looking out at one of the most beautiful places in Scotland (if not the world).

Spend 5 minutes with Ross and Jayne and you'll realise they're in the B&B business because of their love for where they live and they want to share this with you.

You will not be disappointed. I guarantee it.
