Only stayed 2 nights but friendly helpful and great location for Eeleen Dolan Castle.
We had a meal which was very nice, breakfast was served fast and The Full Scotish Breakfast was really great and well needed for a day out walking.
The Beds could have been more comfy felt a few springs. But other than that everything was fine clean and tidy.

The staff were wonderful. The shower in our room was amazing. Would definitely stay in this hotel on our way to the Isle of Skye. We didn't eat dinner here but others felt it was very good. We watched the raft race and it was so funny.

I was a little worried about my stay at the Dornie after reading some reviews on tripadvisor but I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were not massive, but enough. They were spotless, comfortable and more than what I would expect from a B&B.
The location is perfect, a short walk from the castle and a breathtaking view overlooking the scenery.
The only flaw we found was that food was served at specific times and we couldn't even get a sandwich ten minutes after the cut off time. However, a village shop located right next door meant we could get ready made sandwiches and snacks at most times anyway.

Also, be prepared to not get any decent phone reception, 3G or wifi.. This could annoy some people, but we felt it enhanced our getaway by not being bothered by the hustle and bustle of the city back home.

We will definitely be back, the Dornie is highly recommended.

Party of 4 females stayed overnight here in May 2012. We are the type of travellers who were looking for cleanliness, comfort and location for our accommodation and this certainly met our expectations. Staff were helpful and friendly - one lovely lady even tried to get the CD player to work to play some Highland tunes whilst we ate breakfast. We had dinner and breakfast here and we all enjoyed our meal - nothing flash, just tasty food. Our room was clean and comfortable, we requested an extra bed as there was four of us. This made the room seem much smaller but this didn't bother us. Eilean Donan is just a short walk around the corner. Photos were taken on phone so the quality of the images is not the best, however it gives you an idea of the room we booked.

We only ate here and didn't stay but I simply had to say that the steak I had (T-bone) was the best steak I've had...anywhere...ever. Fantastic. The place is on the face of it fairly basic and pretty much a locals' pub and eatery, though probably quite a few walkers, etc may use it as a base. We were staying nearby and just wanted somewhere for a quick evening meal. Staff coundn't have been nicer and, as I say, an unexpected treat with the food!
