Things were a bit off when we had trouble getting into the hotel from the carpark. Not sure if they were doing renovations or whatever, but there was no clear path from the carpark to the hotel, and we had to walk all way around the outside of the hotel. Things didn't get better once we got in, as the hotel was really, really basic and seemed like it had been put together in a rush with duct tape. Everything seemed pre-fab and compartmentalised, and it had a feeling of a donga mining camp accommodation. The location was okay, being close to the train station and close to conveniences (restaurants, Lawsons convenience store, etc), but that's where the good runs out. The "restaurant" area felt like an add-on, and breakfast was average at best.
The rooms were tiny and cramped (barely any room for me to fit), and certainly no space to do work. I had to move the TV and phone off the desk just so I could set up my laptop. The rooms were really hot and stuffy, but thankfully had airconditioning. The bathrooms were like a caravan bathroom, but at least the water was warm.
The hotel was very basic, but if all you need to do is go and sleep, then it suffices. I don't think I could have done more than one night here...More
