A nice market with fresh seafood and local delicacies but it's more than that: there are several restaurants to eat either that fresh seafood or other foods (got even two ice cream shops). Plus several nice souvenir shops with traditional Japanese sweets (omiyage) and other non-traditional artistic items. The surrounding harbor and park are also picturesque, great for a nice walk.

When you visit this region, got to visit here before you leave.
This place is a place to go if you are hungry and in the mood for more fresh seafood, and/or to get "omiage", souveniers, for you and your loved ones, or just to take a look at a local fresh market. What's interesting is that even if you can't bring them back with you home, you can ask them to prepare fresh sashimi for you, and/or chop it up for you to be grilled for an extra fee at the restaurant/grilling area.

When we entered the market some people had sea snail (still with their houses attached) on the barbecue grill. The market offers lical delights.
