Our party stopped here for pictures. The bridge is famous worldwide. Unfortunately it was raining that day. There are nothing more then good fishing site on the island. You would need to wait half hour for the next bus if you are not driving. Free parking if you are in front.

Loved the quiet remote feeling around the island in particular the ocean side with its secluded path

After visiting the Tōjinbō Cliffs earlier in the day it was impossible not to notice the red foot bridge connecting the mainland to this stunning little island. Only a short walk or bus ride away from Tōjinbō, this island offers a unique temple and shrine experience.

Situated in the forest off the coast, the island is a nature reserve filled with the blissful sound of birds and various nature trails - easily navigatable due to the small size of the island.

I was lucky enough to have the place nearly to myself and had an enjoyable walk around (winter visit). While still stunning the winter - with a wind and rain it is quite cold, as such I recommend dressing warm and have hiking boots as the path was quite muddy in parts. I’d assume in the summer the island would be even more stunning with blooming flowers and trees, albeit with an increased crowd.

A must see.

The island itself is very small, but the red bridge from the mainland to the island is very striking and beautiful.

Good spot for Photogenic. There is a long bridge in Red and go way to the small island. The island is segregated from the main land. You can feel the real nature there and find out some Beatles (e,g, Butterflies). But the atmosphere is a little bit scary... it seems like that the ghost might be living.... If you want to walk around this island, you should take on the shoes because slope and bad steps. And also, there is no toilet.
