This was one of the best places I have ever stayed. After a terrifying stint in Palermo, going to Balestrate and staying at Casa Ruffino was like a dream come true. My friends and I could not get over how incredible every part of it was. Paola and Guissepe treated us like family - they are the kindest, warmest, friendliest, and most generous hosts you will find. And they barely know English - so all of that was communicated in ways besides conversation. We stayed in both the B&B and one of the apartments, and both were spotless and beautiful. Also, the food they offer at breakfast is absolutely delicious!!! We had so much fun interacting with them, and I can't even describe how well they treat their guests.

The town is quaint and authentic, with lovely little streets and restaurants and a beautiful beach that goes on forever, surrounded by high cliffs. If you are in Balestrate for long enough, make sure to go on a few day trips to surroundng areas. And don't leave without eating a canolli!

My friend and I literally ran into this B + B in the lovely town of Balestrate and were so happy we did! The room was very cute and the B + B itself was beautiful and full of interesting things. The best part was the breakfast, served by the very kind and friendly owners, complete with savory and sweet items (including homemade olive oil- wow!), juice, coffee, everything! My mother is coming to visit next month and I hope to take her next month. If you're in the area and want a guaranteed fantastic stay and lovely room at a reasonable price with hosts who make you feel like family, this is the place to stay!
A++++!

We have just returned from a 3 night stay. This is a fantastic B and B. Clean, spacious and above all Guiseppe and Paulo are so kind and welcoming. We had our 5 children with us, ages 6-16 and we were treated just like family. Guiseppe and Paulo made us a wonderful dinner with more dishes and specialities than I can remember, refusing all payment as we were now friends. Lovely area of Sicily too.

Casa Ruffino has a nice interior aesthetic. The hosts, Giuseppe and Paola, are very responsive to their guests. The breakfast was great,with bread, pastries, meats, fruit, juices, and coffee in addition to Giuseppe bringing special crispy pastries from town which were hot, crispy, and filled with sweet ricotta. Balastrate is a good start point for visiting San Vito Lo Capo, Zingaro, Segesta, and Marsala. The town of Balastrate is an ordinary, working-class Sicilian town but Guiseppe directed us to a lovely restaurant for dinner, and later we found a lively spot on the town square to have lemoncellos.

Based on other people's experiences we were booked into Casa Ruffino for 4 nights but left after 1. We barely slept. Motorbikes and cars went up and down until after midnight and the racket started again at 6 in the morning. The town did not appear to have anything to recommend it and Casa Ruffino was in the middle of a noisy street. Yes Giuseppe was helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and nicely furnished. However the breakfast was the WORST we enjoyed out of 4 locations in Sicily.

It is sad to read your adverse opinion of "Casa Ruffino" further more it is highly underseved. The bother of the noisy street is understandable but we offered you a much
quiter room on the opposite side, which you refused. We lost three days rental because your reservation had been for four nights but for "Casa Ruffino" the real disappointment was to have you leave unhappy.

Our location is in midtown,within walking distance to the beach, stores, restaurantts, church, etc. etc.Further more,Balestrate has in second place,the best and largest
port in Sicily and takes pride in it's marvelous beaches, woods and vacation facilities. Geographically situaded in a gulf of Castellammare between Palermo and
Trapani.

We serve continental breakfast composed of the the freshest and finest specialties of Sicily , to generally please everybody and we are always ready to satisfy any request.
Our major aim is to please our Guests

sincerely,
giuseppe e paola
