overall very good hotel, it is kept very clean and we had a very pleasant stay there in early
june. I will list the good and not so good as we found it.
small hotel so not many facilities, but nice pool, clean rooms, pleasant staff. other people have commented about the owner and family, but I have to say every one was friendly and helpfull. some could speak very litlle english( although the reception staff and 1 of the waitresses were quite fluent) but I found that just by saying good morning in italian broke the ice. After the first day the owner and daughter always smiled and spoke.
We stayed 1/2 board, the breakfasts were basic cold buffet affairs, cereal, bread, cheese, ham, cake, pastries, jams, tea coffee etc. if you want a full english do not go to Italy! The evening meals were limited to a choice of two first courses, two second courses, and a sweet( although there is an a la carte menu you can chose from for a suppliment). On the whole the food was very tasty, not massive portions, but certainly enough for most people.
The air conditioning units in the rooms are very poor whilst we were there it was very hot
on a few nights, and most people had trouble sleeping because of the heat.
The rooms have a mini bar which is very expensive, and to be fair we found...overall very good hotel, it is kept very clean and we had a very pleasant stay there in early

Lastly the location! local beach not too bad once you pass the rubbish station (all over Scicily the litter and mess around the communal rubbish bins is horrid). The town is not startling but an ok base to explore the north west of the island. A car is nearly a must.More
