Reviewed February 27, 2015 for a stay in October 2014

We stayed here for 10 days in October. Everything was just lovely, and we were made so welcome. Our dog thought it was good too, and only found the pond on the fourth day.Very surprised as he is a water loving dog.
Our friends enjoyed it too ,and were very impressed with Lodge.
We will certainly go again.

“Wounderfull birthday treat”
Reviewed February 18, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We staid for 4 nights and I was sobbing when we had to go home. The views were stunning. Just sitting on the sofa looking out the window was devine. The lodge was spotless. The extras were thoughtful and lovely. You really dont need to take anything with you but your clothes. Lorraine was wounderfull and I was glad she poped buy on the Monday before we left on the Tuesday as she was on a weekend break away and we didn't get to meet her when we arrived but she is lovely and a woman after my own heart. We enjoyed walking up to the viewpoint and taking some lovely pictures. I would fully recommend the lodges at Hill og Maunderlea. Thanks again :))

“Third time we have stayed here- and it won't be the last!”
Reviewed November 26, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

These lodges are one of the best holiday homes we have ever visited.
The standard of accommodation is excellent. A friend came for the weekend and he was extremely impressed with the comfort of the lodge too.
We love the site- and I love looking outside at the stars on a clear night. With such a dark sky the Milky Way is very clear. I love being surrounded by the Scots Pine trees.
The location is very good for a wide range of places to visit. After 3 trips we have favourite places, but even with most of the castles and distilleries closed at this time of year we still found a few open and found new places to visit.
The owner is a lovely lady and it was a pleasure to meet her again. She always leaves some treats for you when you arrive!

“absolutely stunning views, first class accomodation”
Reviewed August 19, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

From the moment my family and I arrived to the end of the holiday we had a really lovely time! We arrived at the cabin with all we could need..... from locally produced shortbread, cup of tea and a glass of red (:-D). The surrounding views were absolutely stunning.... the children loved playing in the wooded area directly behind our cabin which was secure and fenced off....giving me and my partner time to chill and relax next to the pond with swinging seated area! I took with me Jungle mozzy spray as I researched it may be bad up in the Highlands....I used it once which was great for me and my daughter as usually were eaten alive lol. Local Fish and chip shop was lovely/local retaurants/take away menu's situated in info folder if you didn't fancy cooking and their was a Tesco/Asda stores located not more than 20 mins away! Whether you just want to chill/be more adventurous there are definitely lots to do...Id definitely recommend visiting one of the local distilleries (many of them) Walkers Shortbread factory (shortbread cheaper and so scrummy)... Whatever you decide to do you will come away feeling relaxed and revitalised! Would defo go back again (;-D)

“Excellent Lodge with stunning views”
Reviewed June 20, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We have just spent a week at Oak Lodge and really can't praise it enough. Well equipped to a high standard and the cleanliness and maintenance of the property is outstanding. If you want peaceful outstanding accommodation don't hesitate to book this property. Close enough to the northern coast of Aberdeenshire to make an ideal base for sightseeing and Aberdeen itself is only 50 minutes away.

“Lovely weekend in Oak Lodge with all we could have wanted and more”
Reviewed April 12, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We had a lovely weekend in Oak Lodge with our two little girls and granny - it had everything we could have wanted and more. It's hard to believe the lodges are already three years old as they look so new!

Aside from the beautiful lodge itself and setting with short walk uphill to the viewpoint, we really appreciated the many personal touches. These included a doll's house and other age-appropriate toys for the girls, a large bunch of daffodils, home made cupcakes and a bottle of white wine in the fridge alongside the milk and orange juice. The girls were fascinated by the frog spawn in the pond, and had great fun in the sandpit.

In short, we had a lovely time, will highly recommend it to our friends and hope to be back again in the not too distant future.
