We stayed in Formby primarily for the Open golf, but there really is so much more here - sea, walks, cycling, and Liverpool.
And the cottage made everything so much easier.
The owners were so welcoming with helpful hints of where to visit, an excellent meal on arrival and a willingness to help no matter what the situation.
The accommodation was comfortable, clean and e very thing one could want in a holiday let.
Can't be bettered!
Lesley Peter Sarah and her girls are so kind helpful and friendly we enjoyed the meals prepared and delivered by Lesley. Watching the animals was great the beach and red Squirrel reserve worth a visit altogether a good break Thank You .
Quiet and well equipped abode, with lots of friendly horses and chickens. Well situated for Liverpool Southport Another Place at Crosby and Formby nature reserve where we saw many red squirrels! Great pub grub nearby too.
Can't begin to find the words to express our gratitude for the care and attention provided by Lesley and her family. We stayed here for the evening before and the evening of, our wedding. Our visiting guests, hair and make up ladies, bridal party and photographer were all welcomed and looked after. We even had a horse and carriage that were looked after too. The children were allowed to collect eggs and free to pet the animals. Their attention to detail is above and beyond anything we would normally expect from a B & B, the provision of continental breakfast was second to none, included salami, cheese, cereals, a loaf of bread, hot cross buns, preserves and all drinks. With an extra special touch of a bottle of fizz, chocs, walnut cake and a card to wish us well on our wedding day, this really was a stay to remember and we can't thank you enough! Xx
We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay with Lesley, Peter and their many animals. A big thank you! Looking forward to a return trip.
Lovely accomodation. The breakfast was delicious and the Christmas tree was a nice touch. The children loved being able to see all the animals. Would definitely go again.
We stayed in one of the converted stables for 3 nights and used it as a base to visit Liverpool and the surrounding area. We had a lovely time and Pete and Lesley were super friendly/ helpful hosts. On arrival we had all the basic essentials in the fridge and cupboard for tea/coffee , sandwiches and breakfast which was a nice touch. Every morning we woke to see ducks, chickens and horses roaming around outside, which we found very therapeutic being townies and there are also pigs and sheep to see, so it had a definite farm feel to the place.
There are also many other horses in stables on full livery, so plenty of wildlife to see.
