We visited Zest with our UK wedding party and i cant praise the restaurant enough.
What an experience, situated on the beach front with great views, the food was delicious and great value. All 23 people where served promptly and great choice of fresh seafood and meat. However what made the restaurant unique was the staff, i have never met such warm friendly people. I would highly recommend Zest and hope one day to be able to return.

Best pork belly and lamb shanks in a long time! Awesome location right on the beach in GB. There were only 4 other patrons in the venue on a Sun eve and still we did not feel like they wanted us out of there, will definitely go again when in the Cape!

This quaint restaurant is a absolute gem, situated on the beach front with a awe inspiring view of false bay and table mountain. The service is friendly as well as brisk. I am usually quite hesitant to try a cocktail, but I can seriously recommend them at zest. The food is top class with generous portions.....you would expect nothing less from two top qualified chef's.
Thanks Zest, I will most definitely be visiting again.

Mother and son team opened this establishment a year ago and deserve success. They don't pretend that this is fine dining but nevertheless offer good fare at very reasonable prices especially by British pricing standards. The atmosphere is more like a cafe than a formal restaurant and the proprietors probably intend this. Give it a go - you won't be disappointed.

We went for breakfast at Zest and they will see as never again. My friend and I both ordered french toast with bacon and filter coffee.

We waited 10 min for our coffee and we were the only table for breakfast. The service was really poor and we called the waiter to our table to order our second cup of coffee.

When the food arrived the egg around the french toast was still raw. We told the waiter to tell the chef and nobody came to our table to say sorry nor explain why the french toast was still raw.

We notice that the chef was to "busy" with his coffee and "admin" to care about our food. Even one of the front of house staff cooked for herself food in the kitchen. Clearly no owner nor manager was present.

We paid and left.

Looking at the other reports. maybe this is a dinner restaurant and not a good place for breakfast.

Zest will never see us again
