“Perfect paella”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2013

This is our 'must go' to restaurant whenever we visit Moraira. The paella is amazing and traditionally cooked over a wood fire. They are only open at lunchtime and it is difficult to book for a Sunday as it is packed out with locals - what better recommendation could there be! We always have little plates of squid and chicken livers to go with the salad starter. The chicken livers are simply cooked and utterly delicious. After your meal, recommend you stroll down to the village cooperative bar for a coffee and brandy. A perfect end to a perfect lunch.

“traditional Spanish cafe/bar in a pretty village”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

We went here on an hotel trip by coach. I wouldn't want to drive it, mountain roads and precipitous falls to one side or the other - beyond that now.
Anyway pretty unspoilt village and this super old fashioned bar/cafe, probably been there for a hundred years and largely unchanged.
Good local food, a salad followed by a decent paella with meats, local wine, dessert and coffee - pennies!
Recommended but persuade A friend to drive

“Excellent Paella for miles !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

We have been to the restaurant on several occasions. The best paella for miles, just as it should be. Cooked on wooden poem ovens (go and look in the kitchen) paella as it should be. Starter is a mixed salad, followed by chicken livers (superb) then the main dish of paella. Better to visit in a group, the paella s are large !!. Wide range of deserts. The wine flows, finish one bottle and other arrives. Excellent service by friendly staff. Our full meal including wine was around 13euros per head. They are only open for lunch and would recommend booking in advance as it is very popular.

“Paella in Léra, Parcent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2013

This is about the best paella you will ever eat, anywhere in Spain.

The paella is cooked on wood fires, and you can taste the smoke in every bite.

you should always phone and book in advance, as it is usually full.

“What a wonderful Paella”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

This restaurant is only open at lunchtime, specialises in superb paella which must be pre-ordered when booking a table. The restaurant is always full, very noisy, service is extremely efficient. Great plate of salad as a starter, then the paella cooked over open charcoal fire ( you can always go into the kitchen to watch the chefs at work) then a choice of fresh fruit, ice cream or flan. Price includes wine or water - extremely reasonable prices. We always try and eat here when visiting the area.
