“Good value, something different.”
Reviewed December 4, 2012

Good value on the menu del dia. Some nice touchs with sorbet and small soup or canapes. The resturant does need some "tidying" up and a little care over fittings. Service is good, as is the food. We have eaten there 6-7 times and not been disappointed. Lovely and warm on a winters eve with the nut shell burners. No hesitation in recommending the resturant.

“Not The Best Around”
Reviewed November 29, 2012

Nice location but on arrival I found a very tired looking restaurant that need some TLC. On climbing some steps to the entrance I could see that the outside terrace was in need of a jet wash or at least a good sweep and a lick of fresh paint.

Inside the decor was basic and a bit dreary. Most of the light fittings had missing or mismatched light bulbs but the tables were dressed nicely although the were only fold up picnic tables underneath.

I had eaten here earlier on in the month and thought it would be worth another visit with some more friends.....wrong. I had the garlic mushrooms which was very boring. Two of us had the beef and both plates were undercooked. I like rare but this was still walking. The canopies were a nice touch. We all decided that the wine and water glasses were not clean enough for a place that has been rated fairly high, so in our opinion.....not the best around.

“Fantastic Value for Money”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

This is the best restaurant in Jalon Valley (except maybe Pepe's) but their 'menu del dia' on most nights is 12.95 and there are always around 8 choices for each of the 3 courses. I recommend the Mexican Wrap or Deep fried Brie to start. Main courses include Steak (at a supplement), Salmon wrapped in Sole, Chicken in Blue cheese sauce, there's something for everyone (including children) and the menu changes regularly. They also have specials most evenings. A half bottle of wine is included in the price per person and the staff were mostly English and very friendly and attentive. (Went 3 times in a 2 week holiday)

“Amazing food, service and value”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

We took a party of 10 to El Paraiso for Sunday lunch after being recommended by a friend, we were not dissapointed, 3 courses, plus bread and ali olli, an amuse bouche, sorbet and half bottle of wine, the portions, the quality and the service was amazing. The restaurant was fully booked as it was last week when trying to make a reservation, so you definately need to book. I had, deep fried Brie which was huge enough for two people but absolutely delicious with a lovely crispy crumb, followed by Roast Beef, Yorkshire pud, roasties and fresh veg, dessert, was hard to choose, I had lemon chartreuse with meringue and raspberries absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant itself needs a little work, but the food and service could not be faulted, will definately be back and will recommend. Thank you.

“Great quality and value”
Reviewed October 18, 2012 via mobile

We went as a result of the previous good reviews and we were not disappointed! The menu selection was great. I have to choose a gluten free option at restaurants and you can always tell when a chef cooks his own sauces as you have more options than bought in sauces. I had virtually a full menu to choose from, the sauces we had were lovely. My wife commented that she could tell that the sauce for her fish had been made from the fish stock. This food was a very high standard at a very reasonable price. The choice was more international than local.

For those with GPS the address is poet de mas 5, parcent, 03792 alicante.

The location is approx 800 m SW on the cv715 from that currently shown on my tripadvisor
