Very very friendly staff, which is always a bonus. Fabulous location, good food at reasonably low prices. I knew before I went that they specialise in seafood/octopus, however I didn't realise how limited the rest of the menu would be. That said, we had a very enjoyable meal. The waiter introduced us to White Sangria - very nice indeed! Would definitely recommend.

We visited this restaurant last week; a group of adults with a teenager.
We chose to eat in Santa Luzia as we had driven through two days before on our way from Barril Beach to Tavira and liked the river front setting with the fishing boats.
This restaurant was picked out by us as we strolled down the waterfront because it looked lively and offered a good range of dishes,

Two shared a fish stew, which came in a huge, steaming casserole (brilliant) I had the grilled prawns which were huge and tasty, another friend had the swordfish and the boy chicken nuggets
(silly boy in my opinion!!)
Service was fine, quite fast and our portions, together with bread, olives etc first off more than filled us. I managed to find space for an excellent slice of almond cake, the others had chocolate mousse and a sorbet. The wine was good value and pleasant.
I would recommend this restaurant and it was a shame we were two nights too early for a fado evening.

We decided to have a little drive and got lost but stumbled on this lovely fishing village and took a walk along the embankment of the river. It was lunch time and we thought we would try this restaurant and were so glad we did. We had excellent service and the best prawns ever! Also, a lovely jug of Sangria. Overall a really delicious lunch. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will go again on our next visit.

We ordered Muxama and Estupeta of tuna.
And the octopus salad and the famous "Polvo Escaldado".
The food was excellent and the prices good.
Staff was nice but the service and atmosphere suffer from excess demand.

Got excited about the sugns regarding the staff being from Cada do Polvo. While the food was OK, the service was dreadful. Just go to Casa do Polvo instead...
