“Beautiful, relaxing stay”
Reviewed June 2, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Many thanks to Paul and Buster for such a friendly welcome. Sorry to have missed you Lisa. The Gite was absolutely wonderful, spotlessly clean and far larger than it appears on the photos. There was plenty of room for a party of 5, including 2 teenage boys! Everything you could possible think of was there, from the welcome pack that included a rather nice bottle of wine to table tennis. Sorry it was a little chilly, as we would have had a dip in the pool. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and expertly maintained, with plenty of space to run around. The Gite is perfectly placed to explore quite a large area of Normandy, but it is also quite peaceful and comfortable if you wished to have a lazy day doing nothing! Many thanks again for such a pleasant stay.

Thank you so much for your very kind comments, these make everything so very worth while. This big old place comes alive when guests are here, we enjoy it as much they do. Thank you again and we hope to see you back here one day, perhaps for longer. Kind regards Paul, Lisa and Buster

Just arrived home from a four day break at the Stable.
Paul and Lisa were so helpful and welcoming. The cottage perfect for us five adults. Spotlessly clean and lovely and bright, unlike some Normandy cottages which seem to lack light.. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept.
We would not hesitate to recommend it and will look forward to booking again when we next visit Normandy.

“A fantastic place to be based - wish we had stayed longer”
Reviewed August 18, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We booked a week in The Stables (6 people) and everything was really excellent, accomodation was spacious and well thought out, ground floor shower was always warm with a bath upstairs. We had two spells of rain and the kids loved table football and table tennis. Location was brilliant being in the middle of the countryside but only moments from a main round giving access to other regions and the fantastic nearby town of Villedieu. It was our fifth visit to the The Fluery area and it really is terrific with so much to do - wished we had booked for two weeks....a big thanks to Paul and Lisa who were perfect hosts and very helpful

“A home from home (maybe even better)”
Reviewed August 2, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Have just returned from a fantastic week. The Stables is well equipped and has the most wonderful views. Lots of grounds for the children to play - football net, badminton net, table tennis and Buster the dog who wants that ball throne over and over. Close to motorway with good links to the coast. There is plenty to do in the area. And on rainy days there are a number of board games and jigsaws to keep you amused. Having English telly a bonus as was good WIFI. Paul and Lisa are fabulous hosts and really helpful if you need advice. Arrived to a elcome pack of milk, PG Tips, orange juice and a bottle of wine! Will definitely go back - a week is not enough

“Excellent friendly and relaxed accomodation”
Reviewed July 22, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My partner and I stayed at The Stables 11th - 18th July and found it to be a lovely clean spacious cottage, with everything you may need, making it home from home.
We found The Stables well positioned for access to the main auto route and also lots of attractions, D Day Beaches, Mont St. Michael and the seaside town of Granville - there were also many other places of interest nearby.

We had a great week there and will definitely be returning next year as a week is not enough to fit everything in.

Paul and Lisa were great hosts and could not of been more helpful.
We would definitely recommend this as a great place for a family holiday.

Thank you Paul and Lisa - we will be back!

“Excellent family accommodation.”
Reviewed September 1, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

My wife and I together with a son and his wife and teenage daughter had an excellent week's holiday here at the Stables. With one large bedroom and ensuite on the ground floor and two other bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor, the stables is ideally suited to a three generation family. Owners, Paul and Lisa offered friendly advice on the many local attractions within easy reach: le mont st.michael, Caen, Avranches, and D Day Landing beaches. A car is necessary but we all also enjoyed the walk into villedieu les poeles which has a number of restaurants, shops and is renouned for its interesting copper products. There is a good market there on Tuesday. A great base to explore Normandy. Highly recommended.

“Excellent Child-Friendly Accommodation”
Reviewed August 30, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

My family and I had a fantastic week in Normandy in August 2014.

The Stable is very comfortable, well-equipped and ideal for a family. The extensive grounds allowed our two young sons to let off steam and the availability of CBeebies and CBBC was a massive bonus when we needed them to calm down again.

Paul and Lisa were extremely welcoming and friendly, while my elder son was particularly taken with Buster the dog.

The property is well placed to cover the best of Manche and Calvados (Bayeux and the D-day beaches were about 1 hour away, while Mont St Michel was about 40 minutes).

Overall I would highly recommend this property and will definitely consider returning soon.
