Hawkstone Park Hotel

met by very efficient staff at reception, pleasant and informative.we had a twin room which was clean and plenty off room, bathroom was a decent size and well decorated, shower was adequate just! i must admit to not being a fan of electric showers, however overall we was very pleased with our room.meal wise , dinner, basic menualong the lines off pub grub however a very good standard , a very enjoyable meal. breakfast was a bit shambolic with food running out on a regular basis, but for a buffet meal , again a good standard, just poorly organized.again though the staff were very pleasant .situated next to a golf course makes for a pleasant outlook in a lovely area and we can also recommend the follies just a mile up the road, a fun morning outing, if not a bit tiring, wear sensible shoes!!

Had wedding Breakfast and Evening party at Hawkstone for my son..The Front reception lady Pauline was very efficient when booking in the wedding guests and sorting room keys and bar tab account.Rooms were spotless and plenty of room and comfy beds.

Now to the main event after a lovely Bucks Fizz reception were seated for the speeches and meal.Everyone was served quickly by the friendly staff and the meal was delicious, nice and hot .After clearing away the photos were taken on the lovely groomed lawns outside.
The evening food again was plentiful and very well presented.
Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and after a late night cap we had a peaceful night sleep.

Lovely choice for breakfast the next morning and again an easy check out system with Helen.

A big thank you to everyone at Hawkstone for making a very special day so perfect.:)

Room Tip: Room 105 nice and quiet on ground floor

Visited recently, not as a guest / customer, but as entertainment for a reception by a group hiring one of the function rooms. In some establishments, people in our situation are treated badly, but I must say all the staff and management were very friendly, welcoming and supportive. Organising chairs etc for us was no problem.

We only visited the reception, function room and bar area, but everything was very nice. I couldn't comment on any of the rooms or other facilities.

During our break we were well fed with sandwiches and drinks etc. All very nice.

Apart from the group we were involved in, it seemed as though most people were there for the golf, with the course right outside.

Had a delightful day and evening in a very comfortable room. Enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Only down side was the approach to the Hotel it does not really live up to the actual Hotel and makes one somewhat nervous of one's visit to the Hotel.Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The original hotel was built in the 18th century for visitors to the Park so the entrance and frontage is overlooking the park (which is now the Hawkstone golf course) rather than the village. So the approach to the hotel does seem a little unusual. Glad you enjoyed your stay!

Going on a canal weekend and needed a stop over. Full of golfing enthusiasts and the rooms were a bit dorm like, comfortable and clean. Grounds were fabulous, restaurant and food good. Staff excellent. Good value for money, £69 for room and breakfast. good for golfers and ovenight nut not sure about any longer stay.

Thank you for your positive review. We feel we do offer a good value break and are ideally situated to visit the lovely medieval town of Shrewsbury and the peaceful countryside around North Shropshire, even if you don't play golf!

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, would return. Overall staff were friendly, surroundings pleasant and experience was good. Very pleased overall.

The setting is beautiful, hotel very clean and a warm atmosphere! Food wasn't the best, however everything else made up for that, that is my only negative about this place!

my golf buddy & I were staying on a Groupon deal of 2 rounds of golf + DDB so already a great deal. Our hotel room was a bit tired, sash window broken, lots of coats of paint etc but it was clean, quiet & comfortable beds. The Terrace Bar in the golf centre is a big expanse, but we sat on the balcony & watched the golfers come up the 18th All the staff were very friendly We ate in the restaurant, choice is limited but no complaints about the quality of the food Buffet breakfast next morning had lots of choice The Hawkstone course is fantastic with terrific views of the Follies The Championship course is totally different but well worth playing I have enquired about taking a group of 20 golfers there for next years season Even if you do not play golf it is well worth staying to experience the Follies & beautiful Shropshire countryside

Room Tip: I would suggest a room on the 2nd floor in the old part of the hotel
