I travel all over the Uk and have not found a pub restaurant to match the Tilley Raven.you are made to feel very welcome by the staff, especially Karen.Dave offers an extensive menu using local produce which is beautifully prepared and presented. The bar offers an interesting range of real ales with new beers appearing all the time. Highly recommended.

“Excellent food, real ales, at even more excellent prices in this picturesque village”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

I have been a regular customer at The Tilley Raven for many years now and it has just got better and better. Dave is continually changing his menu and always strives for the best level of produce at affordable prices. He even has a £5 option with a variety of home made choices that don't sacrifice quality. To accompany this, the pub (which is in CAMRA guide) offers a huge selection of seasonal real ales, local lagers and traditional ciders that are always in pristine condition and a relaxed atmosphere at the bar or in the seperate seating area by the open fire in which you can enjoy them. There is also seating outside the back and front of the pub so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and architecture that Tilley has to offer. The staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and always accomodate your requests. To conclude, Tilley has something for everyone. I know I will be returning regularly for many years to come. Thank you all for making it such a pleasant experience.

“Superb”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

This pub/restaurant was recommended to us and turned out to be an excellent recommendation. The choice of food was extensive and there was no extra cost for the side dishes. There were 4 of us each ordering a different starter and main course and all of them were served at the same time and all the food was hot. Not only was the food delicious it was excellent value. We would most certainly go again.

“Country pub”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

One of our favourite pubs, good food nice choice of ales and friendly atmosphere. Saying that however, on our last visit with our grandchildren we actually moved on after one drink as the pub had been commandeered by a bunch of 'squaddies' from a nearby camp and their language and antics made it impossible to stay. I have nothing against the armed forces as our son had served 22 years in the RAF, but it did spoil things for us.

“pleasant but overpriced”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

The food in the raven was well cooked and prepared but as it was really just pub food it was at least ten percent overpriced.
The plates the food was served on were cold and the sauces and condiments were actually in bottles and sachets which is not what I expect for a meal of this price.
