I stayed here for a short break. What a fabulous hotel. Amazing service wonderful rooms and surroundings. If you want to get away or have a romantic stay in Germany look no further.
I stayed at the Kempinski Falkenstein about 30 nights this year out of approx. 100 hotel nights this year. I love the service, breakfast is great (try the pancakes), location is great for outdoor running and walking but gym is also quite nice for a hotel gym. Pool is amazing. Food is excellent in the bar and the restaurant.
This is an old fashioned nicely located hotel close to Frankfurt. Some rooms have a nice view to the skyline of Frankfurt. The hotel is separated into seven smaller buildings connected by a tunnel. The rooms differ - some are big some are small but all are beautiful furnished and clean.
I stayed in the hotel for business reasons but I can also recommend the hotel for pleasure. There is a nice outdoor heated pool. Especially when it is cold and dark outside it is nice to see the steam and the light of the pool
In an effort to forget about life for a while I made a last minute reservation at the Kempinski Hotel in Koenigstin (near Frankfurt, Germany)... As soon as you arrive you are greeted by the Staff, who provide a cordial service and are attentive to your every desire. Tucked away in the Taunus Mountains the Kempinski offers a World Class Chef and the Siesmayer Restaurant, where meals are so delicious that you never have a desire to eat anywhere else, My Wellness Package consisted of a three and four course meal, with a 40 minute Massage on Saturday. The Hotel was used by Kaiser Wilhelm II as a recreation area for high ranking German Officers, and each of the seven buildings are connected via underground passageways. The Wellness Spa is absolutely amazing. From Massages to Beaty Treatments a qualified staff of Professionals are there to insure that you enjoy every minute of your treatment. A beautiful hotel park and a lovely wooded surrounding area allow visitors to enjoy peace and quiet. This makes the Kempinski the perfect place to escape the maddening crowd or to seek solitude with your Partner. On a scale of 1-10 this Five Star Hotel receives a 10....
I stayed at the Hotel Falkenstein for one night in September of 2003. I would have liked to have stayed longer, but I had a flight out early the next morning. I was pleasantly surprised by the charming, understated good service I encountered immediately upon entering. I was given a room upgrade (with a large balcony and stunning views) without having asked for it. The hotel, which is primarily a business hotel rather than a destination/spa hotel, is in a very quiet location on the outskirts of Frankfurt, which is good if you want to relax, which I wanted to. I had a very nice dinner with a friend in the hotel restaurant, which had beautiful views of the city, which we followed up with a drink in their cosy, dark wood paneled bar. All the staff were courteous, helpful and deferential to me. As a youngish non-German woman travelling alone, it was a refreshing and welcome change from the overt curiosity I usually encounter on the part of hotel staff. Guests were primarily German banking types in their 40s and 50s, plus some American businesspeople. Unfortunately I had an early flight out the next day, I would have wanted to try the nice looking pool which, uniquely, is half indoor and half outdoor. The only drawback, if you can call it that, is the distance from the city center and the airport.
The group of German and American bankers apparently discussing a deal in the private room in the restraurant that evening probably considered it an advantage to be far from the madding crowd. The hotel also has short and medium term residence options, as I understand it. In all, a quiet oasis for those seeking a break from Frankfurt.
