Been back from HV Kos for a few days now, and we all wish we were still there.
We stayed for 10 nights as usual.
The check in was really well done, we were at reception for literally 5 minutes before we were off to the room, we got there about 10 ish and there were sandwiches laid on for us, you could also have gone into the after dusk bar at reception and started on your all inclusive drinks experience, but were keen to get to the room and settle in.
Our (family) room was well appointed with a king size bed and two singles, separated by a solid wall and a door, so really 2 rooms, also there was a TV in each room, something we hadn't seen in previous HV visits, and meant the kids could watch movies for men in their own room.
We had no problem with the size, some would call it small, but it was all we needed. The bathroom was good with a nice hot shower and a large basin.
Cleaning was OK, although if there wasn't obvious dirt in the floor it wasn't mopped, which meant with 2 ladies doing their hair it could often be found on the floor after being cleaned.
As usual at HV we loved the food, so much choice that you ended up trying most of it, the kids did too and they are usually quite picky.
The pools were nice and quite close together, we spent most of our time at the Activity pool, but had no problems with our kids going off to the other pools with their friends due to their close proximity.
The activities and clubs were brilliant the daytime entertainments team were surpassed only by the evening entertainment team of Dave, Sarah, Ted and Sophie who kept the kids and adults entertained all night. Thanks you guys.
The drinks were the normal local produce which means you had trouble giving yourself a hangover, which is a good thing I suppose. I would recommend taking a plastic pint pot if you like your Beer, otherwise it will be a small plastic beaker that has gone by the time you are back in your sunbed.
We only did 1 excursion, which was the Aegean Cruise, we really enjoyed it and had a great day.
The only nark we had was sunbeds, there were plenty at the pools, but for some reason people still got up really early (before 6am) to plonk their towels down..... In the end it was a case of if you can't beat them, join them.
Had a great time, now busy looking at our next HV trip, maybe Ibiza...
