Went on a Sunday- very busy but didn't wait too terribly long. Coffee was served immediately and I had the best blueberry pancakes I ever had! HUGE!!! After breakfast took a walk in the back to learn about the 5 generations of making syrup. NH flavor at its finest- no frills and hearty

Fantastic place for breakfast.....really exceptional. It has plenty of atmosphere (country NH) and the food is unbeatable with more than reasonable prices. It is only open on weekends and only for breakfast but so worth going.

This is a great place to get a real home cooked breakfast and enjoy some local New Hampshire flavor. Whenever we have visitors, we bring them here and they love it! We have been going for years and it is always good. If you go during sugaring season, you can watch them boil the sap into maple syrup.

This place must be a favorite for the locals. It was recommended to us by the owners of the cabins we stayed in on the Pemi River in Lincoln. They said Sugar Shack was a can't-miss breakfast option in the area.

We showed up at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and despite some reviews about waiting time, we were seated promptly. Everything is served on paper plates and with plastic silverware, but usually those are the best places. My wife had a stack of Wild Maine Blueberry Pancakes with home fries. The various side orders caught my eye so I had a homemade buttermilk biscuit, corned beef hash, home fries, and a piece of grilled hickory smoked ham. Everything was homemade and the smoked ham was easily the ham I have ever eaten. The entire meal was amazing. The portions were big and our bill only came to $24 with all that food plus two coffees.

There's also a store within the restaurant that sells maple syrup, t-shirts, books, and other items. The restaurant appears to be family owned and the staff was friendly and professional. Bluegrass music was playing in the background and they were advertising their own Bluegrass Festival from July 31st - August 3rd.

We will definitely be coming back to Benton's Sugar Shack and it should be your only breakfast option within 50 miles.
